Review: The Best 16' Tape I Have Ever Used! - I was so impressed with the 25' version of this that I decided to purchase this one as well and I'm just as happy with it. Usually shorter tapes have narrower blades but not this one. The blade is just as wide as my 25' model, just in a smaller package. This makes it easy to handle/grip and use, easy to read, and the standout is excellent. The Orange color really stands out at work and looks good as well. It locks just like most other tapes but has a "brake" on the bottom where you can hold down a button/lever to keep the tape temporarily locked. The quality is top notch and I expect it'll last a good long time.

**Q: Where is it made**
A: I looked on the device and it does not show.  It is a good tape.

**Q: Does this tape measure have an auto lock feature? Or do you have to constantly engage the lock to have it hold?**
A: You have to lock it in , but a great tape measure, 2 sided is wonderful, and the extra large numbers come in real handy

**Q: I'm between this and the gen ii stud magnetic. which one? button brake (klein) or natural finger brake (milwaukee) better?**
A: My experience is that several Milwaukee tape measures are off 1/16" or more at greater than 8-9 feet. Found this out while working with a temporary worker with a Milwaukee tape and all his cuts were off, while everyone else on the crew with Stanley/Dewalt/Craftsman tapes had no problems (and I tested against several Hilti/Leica/Bosch laser meters to verify their accuracy). I think the Klein blades are Stanley so they should be similarly accurate.

The discrepancy could be from converting from metric in Chinese factories (Milwaukee) where US factories and companies are working with their native measurement units.

**Q: Is this 1 inch wide?**
A: Doesn’t matter, it’s broke.

I decided to try the Klein '25 magnetic tape measure to replace my Milwaukee '25 magnetic tape measure. The Milwaukee was still working, but was very flimsy and quite frustrating. The Klein is far superior. Wider, stiffer, simply better all around. Also cheaper. I'll buy again.
