Does this kill gnats better tha citronella lpants

It doesn't kill anything, just makes them go away. Very eco, child and pet friendly. I will be buying more.

Does this work well to kill yard gnats?

I don't believe it kills anything, but I'd does repel wood boring bees, wasps and hornets. Probably does the same for any insect that avoids mint.

Besides spiders and ants, what other insects will it get rid of?

It appears to have ran off the lizards and wasp.

Will this repel beavers from eating branches in my pine trees

It keeps insects away. Don't know about beavers.
