Smells Good … Spiders are Toast!
After use, spiders are dead or groggy, another squirt and their toast! After the landscapers trimmed back the ivy in the backyard a spider or two would come up in the bathtub every day. I can’t say about other insects, but this product does the trick for getting rid of spiders - and the peppermint smell is great! It comes with a little green cloth as well. It’s a good value for this large 16 ounce bottle.

Safe and Effective for Ant Control
I have never seen a product kill ants so quickly. I also like that it is relatively safe to use indoors with pets around (see precautions on the label). Just some things to know, it does have a strong lingering peppermint smell for a few hours after application. Some may find this a bit too much, but it is nothing like the toxic chemical smells from other products. Think of this product more as a "contact" spray and not a long term deterrent. It is usually a good idea to wipe up the dead bugs and overspray to clean the area after a few minutes. I haven't found it harmful to surfaces, but if left to dry and can be a bit sticky.

Great product, but not at total illemination.
Love that it kills sugar ants immediately, BUT does not prevent or wipe out the colony. They return when its dry, and recreate their trail right back over it without dying, so its an active, spray on, type killer? I bought 6 different kinds of ant killer, and not one stopped the colony this time???? Every morning my sink is full again. This product does smell the best out of all 6 brands Ive tried. Makes the kitchen smell like mint, not chemical. And its supposed to be safe around my cat, that has walked through it about 8 times so far and not gotten sick. One other thing to note about this years ant invasion... have you ever seen them line up 2 rows like hundreds of cars in a parking lot, i mean 2 rows of 100+ about 12 inches down the wall, perfectly lined up, aimed inwards, to watch a 3rd row of ants march down the middle, first one way, then back to the wall socket they came in on??? After the last ant returning came through, each row, at the bottom, started falling in behind, alternating from either side, until they all had left? Next morning they were back, with hundreds more, making 2 rows around the ant killer baits i had laid out, like cars driving around a telephone pole in the road, 2 lanes. Never seen ants march like that in unison or precision? (5g? Some kind of upgrade to instinct and intelligence? Not one of them took any of the baits back to the queen to wipe the colony.) They were however still stupid enough to commit suicide in a white tupperware lid with some soapy water and sugar mixed in. It was full with thousands the next day. They came in after we sprayed all around the house with weed killer and bug spray, so cant find a mound anywhere out in the yard? No trails up the brick walls etc? Wonder if Bill gates and Googles modified mosquitos were just a precursor to more intelligent bugs?

Definitely recommend
This natural repellent effectively keeps pests away without any harsh chemical smells. It leaves behind a refreshing peppermint aroma that makes it pleasant to use both indoors and outdoors. I love that it is safe to use around my family and my cat while still working instantly on contact.

This literally saved my life!
My fridge broke and over the weekend my landlord replaced it with a fridge that turned out to be infested with roaches! I have a service animal and the landlord's pest control company couldn't guarantee their chemicals were pet-safe. This was recommended to me by a friend. With no choice but to declare war on these kitchen infiltrators, I ordered a bottle at 6am while getting ready for work and I got SAME DAY delivery! I went home and with my battle plans laid out, and launched a ground attack at nightfall. The enemy roaches were quick to respond, sending out their fiercest and biggest soldiers at speeds only witnessed by the gods above! I sprayed every inch of Fort Kitchen, whereupon dozens of roaches met their rightful deaths, quickly and painfully, as I screamed at the top of my lungs and ran into the frontlines of battle, valiantly defending that which is my sacred home! Some say the battle lasted days, others say it lasted minutes. At the end of it all, as the peppermint mist cleared on the horizon of Mt. Trashcan, the casualties of war were made known to all. Dozens upon dozens of carcasses, belly-up in defeat...One fierce general escaped and retreated to higher ground in attempts to launch a sneak attack on Makeup Mountain in Fort Bathroom. My troops attacker with even greater ferocity, fresh off our victorous kills, and General Giant Roach was easily captured in the prison cell of Nearby Padded Envelope, whereupon he was unsuccessfully interrogated in a language of screams only the neighbour's dog could understand, before he was ultimately sentenced to a swift but humane death. The battles were tough and troops were weary as the night turned to dawn. But as the sun rose this morning, a clear message had been sent to all nearby rebels: Mighty Mint is an impenetrable force and if you ever find yourself under attack, you WILL come out victorious... And maaaaybe a little emotionally traumatized. But with the affordability of this product, you can still easily cover the cost of therapy. Also, my entire house smells like that chocolate peppermint patties. And who doesn't love to literally be able to smell their own victory? ;)

Decent deterrent but won’t cure an infestation.
I live in a suburb near woods and a swamp so I get a lot of pests. I’ve used this product for a variety of insect and rodent problems and my overall verdict is this: it’s decent at both but it’s too weak to deal with a serious problem. Here are my personal experiences with each pest I’ve used it on:Mice - this stuff definitely seems to deter mice but if they’ve already set up camp in your home, it won’t agitate them enough to leave permanently. I sprayed an area where I spotted a mouse come into my room, and I saw with my own eyes the mouse run in, and then immediately turn around and run out. Sadly though, even after making my house reek with the smell of mint for a few days, the mice never completely left and the problem wasn’t dealt with until we zapped them with a kill trap. Take it from me as someone who wasted over $200 on every scent and sound deterrent I could find: they don’t work if the mice have their heart set on your home. No scent stinks enough and no sound is agitating enough to make them give up easy food and shelter. If you have a mouse problem this will potentially help give you something to fight back with, but don’t rely solely on this alone to solve the problem, back it up with some traps. If you go for a Live Trap, you have to take the mouse over a mile away or it’ll just come right back (especially if you didn’t seal all entry points) if you go for a Kill Trap but you’re squeamish like me at the thought of handling rodent corpses, go for an electric one; they’re a bit pricey but the light indicator lights up to let you know when it gets a kill so all you need to do is pick up the trap and dump the mouse in the trash, you don’t have to touch or look at it.Ants - ants DO NOT care and were the least affected out of all the pests I tested this on. At best they’ll stay away for a moment but will be back in full force the moment the scent dies down, or they’ll just change routes undeterred. We had a really bad ant infestation where they were crawling all over the house, in the cabinets, in our beds, everywhere. This stuff did virtually nothing to help the problem. We eventually won the battle by spraying Raid on several of their trails and placing several Raid Ant Baits around key areas but mint doesn’t seem to do as much to stop ants as people claim, at least not for a problem as serious as the one we had. If you’re dealing with an ant problem I can’t overstate how important it is to get good ant baits, because until you kill the queens their numbers will simply never end.Spiders - spiders won’t like this but again, it’s not going to help with even a mild infestation where they’ve already gotten cozy in your home. I tried to use this to get rid of several dozen Cellar Spiders in our basement and it didn’t produce the results I would have liked. More often than not, the spiders would be right back in the areas I sprayed the next day. I found Ortho Home Defense to be more effective at both deterring and killing them, and it has since become my “go to” for dealing with most bugs.Squirrels - We had a couple of squirrels tear into our attic recently and I furiously blasted the last of my mint spray up there in retaliation. To its credit it did seem to cause them to flee for a day, but they were determined to make our attic their home, and came back the very next day when the scent died down. We ended up blasting loud music and threw the last of my essential oils up there to get them out again and then sealed up the entrances. If you loaded this stuff into a water gun and fired it at some squirrels or groundhogs invading your bird feeder or garden, that might be an effective, non-lethal way to help stop them, but like the mice they’ll probably be more stubborn if you’re specifically trying to dislodge them from nesting in or around your home, in which case you’ll likely need an alternative.Flies, Gnats, Moths, Mosquitoes and Crane Flies - As far as insects go, this category seems to be what this stuff is most effective against. Mosquitoes and Crane flies were getting into my house through the Air Conditioner during the summer so I repeatedly sprayed the back end of my AC outside and it seemed to help when regularly reapplied. Bear in mind though I wasn’t dealing with an infestation with this group like the other insects, just discouraging some wanderers from getting near my AC. If you have an especially bad problem with this category of dusk/night pests, some sticky blue light traps would probably be a better alternative for indoors and a bug zapper would probably be better outdoors, especially when combined with an outlet timer.Despite my rating, I like Mighty Mint and appreciate it as a decent, all-purpose pest control spray, but the price tag combined with my mixed results compels me to give it a moderate 3 stars. It’s best use in my opinion is as a holistic, preemptive deterrent if you don’t mind reapplying it regularly (at least once a day) and is especially effective against rodents, but it won’t singlehandedly save you from an infestation and there are better alternatives for insects.

Love this product!!
I love this product! I could not figure out how flies were getting into my home. One day,I noticed they were getting caught between my screen and windows. I sprayed the flies that were caught and they died instantly. To prevent other flies from getting inside, I spray this product around my window sills. No more issues. The scent is refreshing!

Great Product, Weak Sprayer
I’ve been really happy with this peppermint spray overall. It has a very strong peppermint smell, which I actually like because it makes me feel like it’s doing its job. I sprayed my entire garage, baseboards, corners, and around the garage door where spiders like to hang out. It’s easy to apply and seems to work well. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sprayer that came with it broke about 30 seconds into using it. It stopped spraying completely, so I had to swap it out with one of my own spray heads to finish the job. Once I did that, the product itself worked great. If the included sprayer was higher quality, this would easily be a 5-star product.
