Simon & Schuster Super Crossword Puzzle Book #13: The Biggest and the Best (13)

This is a very good crossword book for better puzzlers. You probably won't get all these right but enough to be satisfying. If you are a beginner and just want to fill in blanks, then this is not for you.These puzzles are similar to your local Sunday crosswords. If you can work them, you will be fine with this book. The perforated pages are a nice touch too. I am taking this book on the plane heading for a cruise.

This book is a great way to fill in otherwise boring hours when waiting or flying. It can also be handy when television is tedious. The pages are made of crisp white paper that is easy on the eyes and they are perforated so you can remove one or several pages without ruining the whole book. The puzzles are clever and fun to fill in and there does not seem to be any of those "too easy" ones that waste your time. The price was fair, considering I didn't have to waste gas or time to get it. Very convenient!

My Mom is a crossword junkie. In fact she loves any word game and beats everyone because her intelligence is over the top. That being said, I have gotten crossword books in the past that are too easy and also too hard (the NYT version) which results in boredom or frustration. This one sits right in the middle. It offers a challenge while not being simplistic. Can't finish one crossword? No problem, just move on the the next one and come back later on. She finds that changing it up like that helps clear her head and also keeps things moving so she doesn't get bored.

The first chair I received had a defect.. Immediately called the company and they got right back to me ! Received the new chair and it is perfect! I put it together myself (both times) and was not difficult - - not to mention, it looks great in my office!

If your life revolves around crossword puzzles you will love this book. It is chock full of great puzzles that will keep you busy for hours. The price was good and it shipped quickly.

The truth is I purchased this 225-puzzle crossword book last year and have become hooked on solving these puzzles. As I was down to the last ~25 untried puzzles, I wanted to start over from the beginning and work through them anew!

I am not big on crossword puzzles, so when I received this and looked them over it was an incredible challenge finding ones I knew the answer too; that is exactly what I wanted. This was a gift for my Dad, who is a crossword enthusiast and finds little fun in the easy ones, so I have no doubt he will enjoy this book above many of the other more typical gifts we also got him. I'll be keeping Simon and Schuster in mind for future gift ideas for him.

Lots of fun. I can't do most of them without looking up a few things, which I like. The only drawback to any book of crosswords edited by the same people is the inevitable repetition of clues, but that seems to be unavoidable.

If it's Simon and Schuster and I haven't already done it I buy it. I am retired and their crosswords keep my mind sharp.

Perfect format: perforated double-sided pages for easy use and completion. Medium level difficulty, so one less star because I would have preferred to work my little grey cells more.
