3 year UPDATE : Well worth the money for self priming!! I pump degreaser with it.
This pump was about the cheapest I can find that was self priming without being submersible. I use this pump at a restaurant pumping degreaser from a 5 gallon bucket. We use about 5 gallons a week. I have the pump mounted on the wall and under the 3 compartment sink. The lift is around 4 feet without any issues. It gets used everyday. I have 2 12v 7amp SLA batteries connected in parallel.4th month UPDATE :This pump is still working awesome. It has pumped about 80 gallons of sanitizer in 4 months. Power source is 2 12v 7ah SLA connected in parallel. I have not has to charge it yet. I should do it soon since it has been 4 months considering SLA batteries are best kept charged. On a side note: when I first got this product, I connected it to my 2 gallon manual pump sprayer. With only water, I was curious to see how well it would work if I ever wanted to connect it to a pesticide sprayer. It didn't work so well due to low pressure. I have a feeling that if I used a 100psi pump, it would do much better. Just incase someone was thinking of using it for a sprayer.******** 3 year update ***********This pump is still working great pumping degeaser into a 3 compartment sink. Still using about 5 gallons a week. I can't say anything bad about the pump. I would buy it again without thinking twice.

Smaller than I imagined
Pump was much smaller than I imagined. I had thought I might use this pump on my rain barrel setup to water the garden with a garden hose and hand sprayer. 35 psi is enough pressure, but it just does not have enough volume (1.1 gpm) to really be useful for spraying and the 35 psi at 3/8" line drops a lot when using a 5/8" garden hose.. So I attached this pump to a 20 gallon pressure tank and it would fill up the tank until it hit 35 psi, and then it shuts down as designed. Unfortunately, even with the tank, I only get 1 minute of good water spraying before the volume drops down to the pump's pressure/volume of 1.1 gpm. I suspect the garden hose puts out about 5 gpm, so this pump at 1.1 gpm cannot keep up. I think I will repurpose this pump to instead draw water from the lake and fill the rain barrels, using a float valve to shut off the pump when the tanks are full. My other thought is to use this small pump to push water through a small drip irrigation system. It appears to be a good pump, but just does not push much volume for my original intended application. It does, however, deliver its rated 1.1 gpm at 35 psi out of a 3/8" hose. I just need to rethink its use in a smaller demand setup.

Good pump when available
Used this pump for a DIY backpack sprayer build. It lasted 2 years with moderate use, which was acceptable but when I went to re-order it was unavailable

A Little Tricky
UPDATEThis pump is absolute rubbish. I took delivery Dec 14 2019. It is today March 2 2020. It is done. It leaks through the diaphragm. I think it must of been leaking slowly for quite some time. If you take it apart there is a switch with a reset on it. I took the unit out in January and had to reset it as the pump had packed up. 2 days ago it went again. This time I could see what had happened. The diaphragm pukes water directly into the switch so naturally it trips. The grunting I mentioned is the pump slowly leaking and needing to repressurize. It is also not powerful enough. 1.1 gallon per minute is just not strong enough. If you pay $16 for a pump you get a 3rd rate piece of S***. The return date ended 31st January. You can't make this stuff up!!I will buy a really good quality unit to replace it and NOT 1.1 g/mDo yourself a favor skip this one and spend a bit more money :)Overall this pump woks well. Especially when you consider the price. It was very easy to install. Just 4 screws through some rubber feet. The hose I used was 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" inside diameter. This is the perfect fit. I used miniature clamps and although not really needed it was a good idea just in case. The unit turns on and off with water flow. It is somewhat noisy and the flow isn't terribly powerful. The input and output are not marked so you have to experiment with it. I used a bucket of water and crocodile clips on my car battery.Big picture this will get the job done for a little sink and faucet. The price is super cheap, it is good value for money.Update:If you do not have a switch to turn power off it will grunt every now and then. Enough to keep you awake at night. No there is no water leaking it just grunts. I will add a nice switch by the faucet. Probably a good idea anyway.

Pumps water very good
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for our slide in truck camper. I didn’t have to prime the pump before I began using it. The pump installed easily and runs quietly. It pumps a lot of water too. It had 3/8” barbed fittings on the inlet and out side. I just slid on the 3/8” vinyl tubing. I installed an inline fuse to protect the pump motor. This is a demand pump so I have a switch on my faucet to switch the pump on and off to pump water as needed. Very pleased with this little pump.

No wiring kit so be sure to plan accordingly
I liked the fact it was a 12 volt system. It works very well and is fairly quiet. The only thing was getting the pump wired for use. There is no on / off switch so I set it up to plug into a 12 volt socket so I can unplug it easily.

Great little pump. Pressure sensor sometimes not needed.
This little diaphragm pump works really well for sending water from my fish pond to a micro-irrigation system in my garden. The current draw is less than 3 amps, so it is suitable for running on a small (18 Ah, 12 v) solar powered battery. The self priming feature is excellent as it can pump air or water, and this takes away the frustration of the priming problems with a small centrifugal pump.I would have given the pump 5 stars, except for a problem I had with the pressure sensor. This sensor (in the box to the right of the pump) is designed to stop the pump if a pressure higher than the maximum (about 2.5 bar) is sensed. With my irrigation system the sensor was switching on and off rapidly (about 3 times per second), even though the system is all at ground level. After a while the pump/sensor quit entirely and it was impossible to wake up the pump. I then shorted out the pressure sensor and the system now works fine.

Small easy to install
Works very well! Install at my off grid cabin for a booster pump on my shower. Excellent buy!! Replaced old one that used 7amps to operate with the same flow. Now my pump only uses 3.5 amps.

Works well
Pump works well, better than a lot at same or higher prices. One thing is that its pretty loud but at this price its well worth it!

Its OK for the Price
I bought this pump to circulate water from my plunge pool to a tankless heater. The price is likely the best feature. It did the job, but somewhat noisy. It failed after about 18 hours of operation, but I think its mostly my fault: I ran it non-stop for hours at a time and it overheated. If you plan to use it intermittently (I don't know, 20 minutes on, 20-30 minutes off) or for light duty, it would likely be fine.
