It is particularly popular for use with lime mortar, where protection against the elements is necessary to allow carbonation to take place. In summer hessian can be wetted, to stop concrete or cement from drying too quickly.Hessian can be used to protect plants, as a protective wrap in winter and a sun barrier in summer. It can also be used for arts and crafts applications, at Christmas, weddings, fayres and more.

Having made this mistake once before, I was hopeful that the weave of this hessian (i.e. a tight, close weave) was accurately portrayed in the image. I received my order to find that it is a very open weave as seen in the attached image. Disappointed.

Excellent product & delivery service
The hessian arrived very quickly which I was delighted about as was using it to line two large willow log baskets for a Christmas present. It is of good quality & perfect for its purpose. One small observation is the material does have a smell which I'm sure will disappear after a while. Would certainly recommend this product & excellent delivery service.
