Review: Beautiful sturdy Fae deck! - This is a BEAUTIFUL deck of cards! I had a hard time finding lighting that wouldn’t create a glare against the cards, so I ended up turning off the overhead lights and using the light from the window, but it’s overcast and rainy so it doesn’t quite do the colors justice, but as you can see the illustrations are gorgeous. The Jokers are really cool - you’ve got the winter and the spring, which I think is great, as I was expecting them to be the same. The J-K are gorgeous and even the representations of the hearts, clubs, diamonds and spades are beautiful, as you can see. There’s also a card that includes who the Jack, Queen, and King are for each suit, and a very subtle texture to all the cards that keeps them from being as slippery as other new cards, which I really like. They seem a little bit thinner than a regular deck of bicycle cards, but having used them, they seem very sturdy and high-quality. I’m very pleased, and will be recommending this deck to all of my friends!

**Q: someone said they were thin... are they the weight of regular Bicycle cards?**
A: I believe the "linen finish" makes these cards feel a bit thinner.  My older decks of Bicycle cards seem to be a bit thicker, but obviously have a different finish. I have one newer Bicycle card deck (Stargazer), which is comparable in thickness to this deck.

**Q: are these cards paper or have a coating?**
A: They are coated paper like any Bicycle deck

**Q: Is this just a celebration of mythology, or does it refer to a specific book or video game?**
A: I bought these and assumed a celebration of faerie like creatures. I’m not aware of a relationship to a game or book. If there is one, you wouldn’t know.

**Q: Bridge size?**
A: These Fae playing cards are poker-size cards.  They measure 2 ½ inches by 3 ½ inches.
