Absolutely brilliant. I purchased this set a couple of months ago and my son loves “I want my hat back” so much that he hasn’t even started reading the other two yet. We read the same book every night at bedtime and I know it word for word now!

These stories are great to promote discussion with children. These are part of my teacher bookshelf x

I bought this because of the reviews for my grandson. He and his older brothers read the first one and were shocked that I’d bought something so puerile , to be fair he is a good and enthusiastic reader.I was obviously very disappointed so I had a look at the three volumes myself.I was absolutely gripped.I strongly recommend these deceptively simple picture books to adults rather than children ( unless they are ready to mull over the contents.)I won’t say the one with the tortoises made me cry but it was a close run thing….Lovely books and I am really glad I bought the boxed set.And my grandchildren aren’t getting them until they’re a lot older : they’re mine and I plan to reread them regularly!

Very pleased with my purchase. Well presented in a lovely display box and with a gorgeous additional print with was a nice touch. Amazing value books are finished in good quality hardback. To be loved and enjoyed by Adults and Children.

The books were perfect for my 4-year-old Newport who is a good reader but loves pictures as much as words. These are simple stories and fun to read together.

I had only ready or heard about one and utterly loved the book ‘I want my hat back’. The book always made me laugh more than it did when I read it out to kids. So now I bought this pack of three. The print is absolutely adorable and will look super cute in the nursery. I absolutely love the packaging it comes in. So nice to keep the books in and put up on the shelf. Also I saw the original price tag and this is a bargain! I basically paid half price compared to what I would have paid in a book store. The books are all hardback which I love and in a great big A4 format. Absolutely adorable and can only recommend them!
