I read the book and decided to stay at the Hard Rock Resort so that I could benefit from the on-resort perks. In the end, even though the hotel was much more expensive, the savings from being able to get into the parks earlier (it even opened up at 7:00am a few days) was more than worth it, just as the book said. Looking at the weather, we had two days of heat and one day of rain. The advice on what to do on the rainy day was well worth it and we hit the water rides on the hot days. The descriptions of the rides were spot on and ratings were pretty much exactly as I would have rated them. The food advice in the parks were perfect along with the recommendations for CityWalk restaurants. I couldn't find anything in this book that was incorrect and have let other friends use it who loved it as well. If going in non-sweltering heat, I loved wearing the Harry Potter garb purchased the day before with my kids (and the park employees made us muggles feel special) riding the rollercoaster and drinking Butterbeer after. We ditched the gear back at the hotel when we went to lunch. This wasn't just a trip but a vacation that made some very special memories for my family that will last a lifetime.
