Product description JOHN ELTON .co.uk Greatest Hits 1970-2002 is the first attempt to consolidate all of Sir Elton's hit singles, from three different labels, in one collection. It once would've required at least four different CDs to own the best stuff here. Popular wisdom dictates that the legendary performer was at his best in the early to mid-1970s, and the incredible string of singles that ran from 1970's "Your Song" through 1977's "Sorry Seems To Be the Hardest Word" remains mightily impressive. But in retrospect, as presented here, 1980s hits such as "I'm Still Standing" and "Sad Songs" add much to an already amazing legacy. Three Disney tunes, the lush "The One", and two from Songs from the West Coast, which was hailed as a return to those golden days, represent the later years. Collectively, these tracks reinforce the notion that, despite Michael Jackson's proclamations, John was once the closest thing post-1960s music had to a genuine king of pop, respected by hipsters and the mainstream alike. --Bill Holdship

Elton's best
A Great 2 CD value purchase, with a bonus disc of 9 songs I can't recall hearing before, but worth listening to. You forget how versatile Elton's voice is, a great musician and entertainer. I am very pleased with this song book.It would of course be helpful if the sellers mentioned what tracks are on the different discs before you buy, I would probably buy more if this was the case.

THE Greatest Hits Collection
This 2-disc collection of Elton Johns greatest hits is probably the best collection available. There is an album called 'Rocketman: The Definitive Hits' but this only has 18 tracks and doesn't have some of Elton Johns classic songs like Can You Feel The Love Tonight? or Sad Songs (Say So Much). But if you buy this 2-disc set it has 34 songs with a lot of gems which you won't find on any other greatest hits (Kiss The Bride, Nikita, Island Girl).A fantastic purchase that spans decades of Elton John hit records.

Can't live without EJ!
This is the kind of item that Elton fans just have to get, despite knowing each and every song by heart. This record/CD covers his career from the early hits to "Songs from the West Coast", the album released in 2001.I would rate it five stars if at least we had got one or two new songs as bonus tracks.-Fernando

Saw Elton live recently (we hired him for a company event in San Francisco)His new stuff is good, but I prefer his older material - if it is the classics if you like this is a good albumI had forgotten how good his material is and how much there was I liked. Hearing him belt out I'm still standing was cool (given he started in '69 and is still rocking in 2015).
