Could this also be used as a shower curtain pole

You could hang a shower curtain on it but it screws to the wall one end and clips on glass at the other , very robust and fit for purpose!

whats the the diameter of the support bar ? is it 19mm?

As the bar is expandable the thickest part is probably 20-21 mm the thinnest about 17-18mm

Could this be cut to make it shorter if needed? Lose the cut end of the smaller one inside the larger pole and thearger pole inside the wall bracket?

It does not need to be cu it expands to what size you need we have not had to cut it good quality pleased with it

Stylish look, easy to fit

Only thing to watch for is to secure the screen clamp to the support arm before you start. I missed this and the screen still moved but once I'd realised the problem it was easily remedied . Screen is now rock solid

Great if you need a 45 degree fixing.

Didn't want to run the originally supplied support bar perpendicular to the screen as it interfered with the feature tiles, this item provided a well made alternative.
