Some minor tweaks needed
This was a last minute purchase after I panicked about being able to carry enough water on my 4 day hike. The bladder itself is solid, but you really have to thoroughly check it for leaks before you put it in your pack. The seal at the mouth of the bladder is very small, a very thin rubber device. At one point, the seal on the mouth of the bladder got twisted and there was a slow leak that I didn't catch. Luckily, the location for the bladder on my pack is on the outside, so while my pack hipbelt was soaked, all of the stuff inside my pack stayed dry.As soon as I corrected the seal, the leaking stopped. As another reviewer said, it would be nice to be able to have a valve to turn on/off. I had to always keep the mouthpiece/my pack upright or water would slowly leak from the mouth piece. The black insulation around the tubing was actually really nice. It kept the water cool even when I was walking in the sun for 4-5 hours.Overall, I give the product 4 stars because it was a life saver, but there are few tweaks that could make it much more convenient to use.

Standard waterbag, some minor annoyances
This style of water bladder (handle on fill-lid, same type of mouthpiece) is one I've used in the past with great results, so I chose to go with this style when I recently lost mine. The components themselves seem to be well made, and they fit together well. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the lid does need to be screwed on pretty tight to avoid leaking... almost too tight. The connection from the water bag to the hose snapped on easily and does not leak. There were really only a few small things that kept me from giving this product an overall 5 star rating. 1st is the taste. Even after washing several times, it still tastes like I'm drinking out of a garden hose. It is still new, so I'm hoping that will dissipate over time. The 2nd thing is the "insulating" wrap around the hose. this one is heat-shrink wrapped on both ends to the hose. In similar models, this wrap is snug but free to be removed, which assists in washing the thing without getting that wrap soaking wet. The last small thing was easily corrected, but the mouthpiece had not been slit to allow for drinking. I had to cut it open myself.

Great!
Easy to clean. I only had a problem with the mouth piece. I had to remove the rubber part in order to even be able to drink out of it. (maybe I'm using it wrong but I just took it complelty off and didn't have any leaking problems) I like the on/off switch. I didn't notice leaking and I think people are confusing leaking with condensation. I also like the fact that it doesn't have that plastic taste. I did let it soak overnight in baking soda and a little apple cider vinegar. Mouth of bladder is big enough to add ice. I am runner and this went great with my Nathan hydration pack. I do feel like the hose could be a little shorter.

Great product, great price, pronto delivery and it works!
Once the temperatures started to drop in VT, I could not carry water with me on long hikes... Why? Because my standard hose would freeze up. Once I added the Camden Gear bladder with insulated hose, my problems were solved. I was up on Mt Abe, at 4,000 feet, zero degrees, with snow and wind adding to the fun... Not once did this hydration system fail me...

Great value
Used it enough now to say it's working well especially given the price. I have used it backcountry sking and the insulated tubing has kept my water from freezing.I can't tell if the bladder is leaking, or if I'm getting condensation on the outside of the bladder. The outside of the bladder always ends up damp. I've resorted to placing the bladder in a small waterproof bag to keep it from getting anything else wet.

Inexpensive starter bladder
For the price, I am quite happy with the bladder. It is my first water bladder so I didn't realize how the sizing really worked. It's more than enough room for most of my hiking trips. The only think I would change is that it has the screw on cap instead of the end clip, which makes it a little harder to clean and dry out. For the money though, I am quite happy with the purchase.

So far okay, not perfect
I have used this water bladder for one hiking trip so far. I had a lot of difficulty getting the lid to be water tight when I was packing. My stuff got wet a few times before I figured out there's a thin silicone gasket in there that gets displaced easily when you screw the lid on. I also noticed that the bite notches on the mouthpiece were not placed correctly to open the valve. Nothing happens when I bite with my teeth in the groove, I have to bite the very tip in order to get water to come out. These are manageable flaws so far; we'll see how it holds up over time.

Nice wide mouth to fill with ice cubes and water
It fits my non Camelbak hydration backpack perfectly! Nice wide mouth to fill with ice cubes and water. The bite valve works well, and comes with a cap to keep it clean! The hose is a little long, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.5/5 - Will buy again when I forget to clean it out and realize mold doesn't taste good.
