if you enjoy childish Shirley Temple songs
.Not worth the money . 180 short snippets form many different movies, most of which are obscure. BUT, if you enjoy childish Shirley Temple songs, there are (unfortunately) many of them.

I liked it...
A terrific overview of many 1930's & '40's Hollywood musicals (soundtracks). There are also some snatches of famous dialogue (Bogart & Dooley Wilson in Casablanca as an example), as well as a handful of studio recordings that aren't soundtracks. The other reviewer's comment regarding Shirley Temple is far too limiting as those recordings are only one of many components in this collection. Also, these aren't 'short snippets' but full performances and as I write this, these discs are available for $2.98 (under thirty cents each) which is a STEAL.

Lack of film themes
Firstly I would not call this original film themes, this cd box set contains incidental music from films off the 30's to 40's and songs from various films from the same period, on closer inspection, it only contains about 3 actual themes, so it is very disappointing to say the least to not have main themes like Casablanca or Gone with the Wind, or even the classic Wizard of Oz
