ClearlyFrozen® Best (4.6 Stars) & Top Capacity (10 2” Cubes) Clear Ice Tray

Excellent product that does produce crystal clear large ice cubes. At 2”, these cubes are large, so I have also bought the smaller 1.3” set as well. It does take a few attempts to judge how long one's freezer will take to freeze the block to the bottom so persevere until you get it right!

I don't make perfectly clear cubes with this, perhaps I'm not doing everything quite right, but they're good enough for me and I've been using it regularly for over a year. The cubes are great for gently bringing out the full flavour of cask strength whisky. The mold finally split after 15 months, but I emailed the supplier and they're sending me a replacement, so I'm very happy with that.

Ice cubes totally clear, looks fantastic for cocktails. The plastic tray cracked (i may have overfilled tray). There was note with product saying they would replace items which got broken. I emailed them and explained and they sent me new tray by return of post. Great customer service.

Works as expected, makes 10 gorgeous ice cubes perfect for old fashioneds! Requires a bit of extra room in the freezer, but even my tiny freezer could fit it.

Rubber is too light and floats on the water, making it impossible to fill the tray all the way. This all leads to water spillage in the freezer, which means the unit freezes to the freezer drawer. The rubber tray is also thin and difficult to grip, and so hard to remove after freezing. The resulting cubes are ok, though a bit more cloudy than what I’ve gotten from competitor’s products. Overall, I do not recommend.

The ice does not come out clear and its mis-shaped.

So I just got this ice maker yesterday, and filled it at about 6pm with some warm to hotish water from the tap (we have city water rather than well water if anyone needs to know). I decided to check it after 13 hours in my -13c (8f) freezer. It wasn't quite ready, and I accidentally introduced some air bubbles to the majority of the cubes. I left it another 6 hours and they were just about finished. If I hadn't of gotten premature and had left the freezer closed the entire time I think I would have been fine. However it was a first time test run, and I'll know better next time. The entire system doesn't take up an enormous amount of space vs other offerings on the market. The price was right for just wanting to try it out. The image included shows regular Ice cube tray ice and the Clearly Frozen system Ice that were put in the freezer at the same time. The regular cubes were ready WELL before the clear ice was, but... they are not clear! :D According to their site, they will be introducing a kit that also does smaller cubes, and Collins glass "spears". It came in a fairly timely manner to NE Alberta, from Florida. Packaging was plain, but secure none the less. A great set of instructions and I even received a message through Amazon.ca from the sellers with a thanks and further tips and advice. If I ever require this item again or know someone who wants to make some clear ice at home I'll for sure purchase or recommend. If I had any criticisms, it would be the insulation layer is just naked plastic style foam. It looks a little DIY and less polished, but I can't argue with the results and the cost of the product.

First review on here, and that is because I am just so blown away by this product. I run a cocktail bar, and though I wish we had the space and resources for a cline bell system, we just don't. I have not been blown away by 2" cubes made from molds - they are fine for home but not in a commercial setting imo. I have tried many methods over the years and most are either too time or space consuming. But when I went into a local restaurant and ordered a cocktail, I was amazed by the 2" cube in the glass. I asked the manager how the heck he managed to pull this off - it was clearly not from a mold, no pun intended, and I was curious if there was someone distributing cline bell cut ice in the area. He showed me the Clearly Frozen tray and I couldn't believe it. It seemed too good to be true. There are many products on the market that claim to make quality cubes, but it's mostly marketing, so I was suspicious. But I did the due diligence and read about the product. When I saw an endorsement from Camper English, I felt very excited. I ordered my Clearly Frozen tray on a Monday, and by Wednesday I had beautiful, clear, and perfectly square 2" cubes. It is very easy to use if you follow the instructions carefully. I had a question about storage and their customer service was quick and helpful. This product is fantastic. Whether you are a home bartender or a professional, it will give you what you need. The dilution rates are what you would expect in a professional environment and everything about the design is well thought out. I am going to order more to ramp up my production and I can not wait for their collins spears to be available. If this seems over the top, consider that for a great cocktail there is nothing more important than water and ice. This will take your cocktails to the next level both aesthetically and functionally. One hack I will share is that to store the cubes after you make them, they fit perfectly in a cardboard 6 pack sleeve from Q (separate shout out but Q makes the best tonics and mixers on the market) and cut the sleeves down to 2" height and then they are stackable. If you are making this for a bar, you will obviously need a freezer, but if you are serious about ice you probably already have one.

Works like a magic. Just use normal tap water, for freezing, the mould actually takes a good 20-24 hrs. But overall the process us very easy & satisfying. Can even control the size of cubes, instead of 2x2” by adjusting water level, can produce a bit smaller cubes as well.

As a guy who not only likes to drink a nice Negroni, Old Fashioned or Sazerac but also enjoys an appealing presentation of these drinks I needed - yes, NEEDED - large clear ice cubes. I purchased and used a similar product before but the results were never as perfect as they were supposed to be. Living in Germany is nice but as a Cocktail gadget lover you sometimes struggle. So after many tests with my former ice cube tray the results were okayish but the left a bit to be desired. That's why I ordered the Clearly Frozen tray. I am still trying to find the right timing for the best results. As you can see in the pictures the cubes of my first attempt were not complete. But they were very clear, no inclusion, no air bubbles, as it should be. I use filtered water and my freezer is set to -16°C. As mentioned before I am still checking out the sweet spot but the results so far are much better than with the other tray I used before. The Negroni on the third pic contains a complete crystal clear ice cube. Yes, I'm an ice nerd and I love it!
