Boye 3216327013M Aluminum Straight Knitting Needles Set, US Size 13, 10" L, 2pcs, Orange

We're not the usual consumer of this sort of thing. But it's PERFECT for our use. We're water sports enthusiasts and use polypropylene line for a myriad of things. It splices easily. If you have what's called a Fid, which is something, in the case of this sort of line, which you use to splice ropes and other lines. For our application, the points easily open the threads of the line, as a solid fid would do. But the key for us is that the hollow aluminum also allows us to insert the end of the line which will eventually be tucked into a part further up the line being spliced, and when it's finished, we just pull the fid off. So, I bought these to make two fids. One only a couple of inches long, and the other about half the length. The longer length allows more insertion per stroke so makes short work of a splice where we have the available length. They're perfect for that use for us. The rest of you probably will want to stick to your knitting ☺

Boye knitting needles are excellent aluminum needles . I have used them exclusively in all my early years of knitting. My set got lost in a major move across country. So now I'm replacing my set for my Granddaughter who just asked me to teach her how to knit! These Boye needles are excellent, straight&smooth, & I appreciate they are good value for the money.

If you like to knit, and want a quality, easy to use set of needles, you will like these. I have had this size for years, but they were much longer and that didn't allow me to sit in my favorite chair without bumping the side of the chair over and over. With these, I can sit in my favorite place, and get my work done also.

I’ve decided to give knitting another go. I love these needle sizes. I’m currently working on a throw blanket. It’s coming along nicely.
