Review: Fun - even during REAL pandemics - The expansion is a great add-on. We often have more than 4 people playing boardgames at this house so, anytime we can expand the game to allow more players we usually buy them. The additional plague options are fun too. Fungus and Bio Weapon. Each adds their own twist and strategy to the game.
Review: Completes the game - So I would like to start out by saying, this expansion does feel like it should be part of the core game, but I am just glad it exsists. As for the price, it essentially is the entire game, over again, just missing the playing board, so it is worth the money. This adds a 5th player (which is amazingly chaotic) it adds 2 new disease types, for all 4 original colors, and orange has both boards as well, so thats 6 player boards this xpac adds. The new countries are hilarious, and add some awesome depth to the game. The new gene mutations are fun and sync in so smoothly, again, i feel it should have been there from the start. It recommends not adding the new countries in your first game, because they can complicate things, but they really dont, its simple, you can only have one country or the other in play at a time, so I.E. USA VS Isolationist USA, if USA is on the board, and ISO USA comes up, either discard it to redraw, or save it for when USA is killed. thats the super complected rule.

The expansion is a great add-on. We often have more than 4 people playing boardgames at this house so, anytime we can expand the game to allow more players we usually buy them. The additional plague options are fun too. Fungus and Bio Weapon. Each adds their own twist and strategy to the game.

So I would like to start out by saying, this expansion does feel like it should be part of the core game, but I am just glad it exsists. As for the price, it essentially is the entire game, over again, just missing the playing board, so it is worth the money. This adds a 5th player (which is amazingly chaotic) it adds 2 new disease types, for all 4 original colors, and orange has both boards as well, so thats 6 player boards this xpac adds.
