The skin is pretty thick and getting the fine contours to show isn't easy. I didn't like how it handled so my husband said he would keep it and apply a skin to cover the tiffany blue color of the gun. I'm sure that maybe this product would work well on a Glock since it has a more boxy frame, but it was a disaster trying to apply this vinyl to my Ruger. We do not have a heat gun but used my hairdryer on high, which I have used many times to apply vinyl (I apply vinyl to surfaces for a living so it was not user error).
