SmartSticks, Treat Your Dog to a Rawhide-Free Chew Made With Real Meat and Vegetables

Good Not made with rawhide Dogs like

My 5 lb. Yorkie loves these but he he eats it in less than 4 minutes. Not a chew but a snack.

I bought these on a whim; I needed a little bit more to get another item I ordered delivered same day. As soon as they arrived, I broke one in pieces and let my 2 dogs and cat share it. The chihuahua ran off with hers, gobbled it up and came back looking for more. My bigger dog chomped hers down and then stared at me with her pitiful eye look and nudged my had. My cat took her piece, nibbled on it until it was done and hissed at the chihuahua every time she was 3 feet or less away from her. They are rolled, but the texture is soft enough to unroll them a bit and each of them can chew it well. They do smell good and apparently the taste is great. I say this was a successful impulse buy that I will now be purchasing more often.

My Yorkie is picky about her treats and will ignore even really expensive, super high quality stuff if she doesn't like the smell or taste or even the way it looks. I bought these Smartsticks hoping she would like them and she does. She doesn't go crazy over them but she will take one up to the bedroom where she goes when she wants to know and chew alone. They were inexpensive and aren't the worst things on the market to give her. They are rawhide free which is a good thing. She has no issues chewing, swallowing, or digesting these sticks. While these are not her favorite treats by far,. she likes them now and then. Non picky dogs will probably love them. In the photo I attached, Molly is hiding the stick I gave her. I wanted to get a pic of her and the Smartstick but she saw me coming and hid it, maybe thinking I was going to take it back!

No mess, dogs love them, and they last longer than standard treats.

Didn't last longer than 10 minutes with my pit and usually I give her maybe 10 minutes with a chew since she knows 0 self control and if something is indulgent she will make herself sick with it. She tricked me, she acted like she did not like it. She turned her nose up at it, ignored it, I trusted her. That's on me. I left it on her bed hoping maybe she would give it a try. I came back 5 minutes later and she was GINGERLY nibbling it. She was not enthused. I turned my back for 3 minutes and there was a STUMP left. She relinquished the nibble that was left but it was too late. The next day and a half she was shooting fire out her poop hole acting like she didn't know how or why it was happening to her. Would not recommend for an extreme tricky chewer.

My dogs love these. I like to give them when I need to keep them occupied for a while. One is a puppy and he gets into things if he's not being watched but this will keep his attention for an hour or so. I used to give them real bones, but I started to worry about digestive issues and bones getting stuck. I have also read rawhide is bad for puppies, so this seemed worth a try and I like it. Will buy again. Would love to buy for less money in bulk.
