Hard to install. *by J***N on April 4, 2026* After a couple of mods because I didn't catch a small detail: this Haulane model doesn't fit a 12-in.-deep cabinet! My cabinet over the stove where the old GE MW/Vent was removed is 15-in. deep, which leaves a 3-inch gap in the front. Hard to explain. The installer had to move it forward 3 in. and fill a gap behind the hood. It worked out fine, and although the unit extends out to the front of the stove, it looks fine and much better than looking at the old gigantic chrome MW. A cheaper, light-weight Broan install by a Lowes or an HD contractor is about $230-$250. With the difficult install plus the mods to move it forward, cost about $500. If your cabinet is 12 deep, then that saves you about $200 not having to do the mod. Hauslane had a comment about the 15 inch issue, but it was essentially hidden in one short sentence. If you have a 15 in deep, then buy another unit that fits.
