Morakniv Belly Opener with Stainless Steel Hook Blade, 2.6-Inch

I have purchased several knives from this company, and frankly you cannot go wrong. They all come sharp, made from good steel, and resharpen quickly. The only question I have to ask myself is which Morakniv knife will I get next. So don't buy other knives and take a chance on getting inferior products, get a scandinavian knife that is made well for a good price.

Big handle that’s easy to control. Works great

The knife itself is great. Well made, sharp, and with a good handle. Zero complaints. The sheath is a bit wonky, I wish it had a good way to carry on a belt. I was thinking this might be a good knife for both hunting and rescue work for things like cutting seat belts, or opening up a pantleg in case of a leg injury. I think the knife itself would be great in that instance, but the sheath included is not a decent belt sheath, it seems more meant for protecting the blade when in a pack or tackle box. For that reason, I dropped it a star. If they would include, or at least offer as an option, this knife in a safe, secure belt sheath, it would be an easy 5 star item.

Used this to skin 4 deer/hogs. It really works well. The pull angle always seems to be right, so it doesn't get hung up unlike some others I've used. No complaints.

Makes skinning the animal a bit faster and cleaner. I make an incision at base of neck and use tool to cut down the back along the spine, down the back of the ham hawk, and to the ankle of the hoof. Very quick and seamless cut. Then just get to work.

Love it, opens a deer up right now. Touch up with a moon stick and ready to go again.

This product is a great tool to have in your hunting pack. It really cuts down the time to field dress a deer. It's sturdy, sharp, and is easy to use. The plastic sheath is a click on unit that has always stayed on the knife when in my pack, and works well to protect the blade as well as the surrounding gear in my pack. I highly recommend this tool.

I like a stand alone gut hook that allows use without having a sharp edge aiming at the user (as all knives with gut hooks do). This hook works as it should but the finish is coarse with lots of tool marks and an uneven grind on the edge. Also, the sheath is just a guard designed to hang on a display. It would be nice if it came with a proper sheath like the other Mora products.
