Does this work on suede?

Yes. But, it did not remove the stain that I had on suede.

Was wanting to know if this product will get major brown stains off of a grey leather steering wheel?

we have been using this product for a long time. it does take quite a few applications to get some kind of a positive result. it depends on the oil saturation. We also have had to add a finishing color to cover the residual stain. Be prepared to have several cans on hand for the job.

Short of giving my bag a literal bath, what is the best way to remove the sticky white residue after brushing most of the cleaner off?

I actually used a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush attachment (low setting) to clean the powder, then used a conditioning leather cleaner with a clean microfiber cloth to remove any residue.
