Normally I get mine from Overstock but they were out a white, so I thought I would try Amazon. First of all no where on the package does it say it's Egyptian cotton, second of all is made in China. I currently own a 1200 tc duvet and 1000 tc Egyptian cotton duvet and this one is not anywhere near as nice as the ones I already own. I have felt 400 thread-count ones thar feel nicer than this one. When you first Unbox, it has a great sheen and feel. After washing, that super soft sheen diminished, but it still feels nice enough. I washed mine with gentle, sensitive natural detergent. After washing, I noticed a spot on the middle of the duvet, looks like a stain, or a spot where the dye didn’t take as well as other areas, which is super disappointing and the main reason I am giving it 4 stars. Overall I’m happy with the cover.
