Timbermate White Oak Hardwood Wood Filler 8Oz Jar

Don't even think about using another brand of filler. I have tried all the name brands typically sold at Lowes, Home Depot, etc. They are OK but all dried out fairly quickly, were coarse, etc. Timbermate doesn't dry out, doesn't shrink, goes on like butter, quickly dries, and is easy to sand while being hard. Obviously more expensive but at least you know the extra money is going towards a higher quality product. Goes further than the size implies also because it's so smooth. They also claim that you can put excess back into the container. This stuff saved my life (criticism from wife who expects perfect joints for some reason without possibility of negotiation). Will try the other colors if I need them without hesitation. Note, I rarely give this high a recommendation. Just buy it.

This wood filler is the best! I specifically wanted something that was easy to apply, sanded great and takes the stain nicely while blending in the the wood. Comes with plenty and has held up on these shelves for 2 years.

Can't go wrong with Timbermate. Stays put, does not shrink, and takes a finish. Great for hiding flaws and brad holes.

Bought this to fill in wood grain on my unfinished wood cabinets before painting them. Mix with a small amount of warm water and rub into the grain then wipe off excess. I used a spatula and damp rag to get it smooth and even. This worked well and applied a second coat. I like the ease of use, coverage and overall finish. The bottle is smaller than I anticipated but it covers quite a lot of area (2 large cabinets) & half bottle left over.

This worked great to fill the grain on my oak mantle so that I could paint it white. I applied it by making the slurry as instructed on numerous YouTube videos, let it dry, and sanded. It sanded very easily. After 3 coats, the mantle was able to be painted without grain marks. A small amount of this product goes a long way because you can scrape it off / sand it off and reuse it by putting some water into it. The only downfall to this product is it does have a terrible odor. For me, it was worth putting up with the odor because it was so easy to work with.

Timbermate Wood Filler is great stuff. There is very little wait time since it's water based. Also, easy cleanup.

I got the idea to use this product off Pinterest. I found it a bit hard to work with, but it did work on lessening the grain on my oak kitchen cabinets. I think I should have made my mixture a bit thicker to really get rid of the grain, but it was my first time using it, and I was just trying to see what worked. I will definitely use this product again when it's time to paint my bathroom cabinets.

Simple to use. add water if remaining putty dries out.
