**Q: I don’t have a ground on my headphones.  How would I wire this product?**
A: Stereo headphones require two circuits to allow driving each headphone element individually with right and left channel audio. Both circuits may share a common return wire to complete each channel's circuit. Headphones require a significant amount of power so any interference to the signal by stray electromagnetic fields would be insignificant enough to eliminate the need for a shielded cable. Headphone cable only requires 3 conductors, one each for the right and left channel and one return wire. If shielded cable is used it would be connected to the same plug contact as the common wire. If the wire is unshielded only the common wire would be connected, typically to the "sleeve", the plug conductor nearest where the cable exits the plug. The left channel is connected to the plug conductor at the end, the "tip". The right channel is connected to the remaining plug conductor, the "ring".

A: They are about 21-23 gauge.  But fine for usual intended audio/ speaker applications.  Could handle modest 5-12v charging applications…

**Q: Have Logitech computer speakers with bad wire. Do I need 2 pole or 3 pole plug and wire?**
A: Assuming that your Logitech speakers are stereo, they would use a 3 pole plug and wire. It's most likely whatever device you plug the speakers into has a stereo output jack. Using a 2 pole plug would result in shorting the stereo outputs together which could damage the device.
