TOKINA ATX-i 11-16mm F2.8 Nikon F

Purchased this before a trip to Scotland and it did not disappoint. It is quite heavy to carry around, but overall I’m happy with the quality of photos, especially for the price. Works really well in low light to capture detail and stays sharp throughout the frame. I’m not a professional photographer, but I am a very experienced enthusiastic and I’m very happy with this purchase.

You can read reviews and opinions all day and not exhaust all the good things people write about this lens. Is there better glass? Sure, but not anywhere near this price point. I did a lot of research before making my purchase and am very pleased. Any image differences between this lens and a Nikon costing 2X as much are negligible. If you have to have the very best, shop Nikon, but if you want a great value and outstanding photo quality this lens can't be beat.

Works great for my crop sensor camera.

I am a professional Rock Photographer and needed an excellent very wide angle lens to capture everything going on on a huge stage. I shoot in low light w NO flash and this lens totally worked under those conditions. It IS very heavy. So, if you do not have muscular hands/arms like me and need to use a lens like this for a long time, it may be too heavy for you. And it is tight going onto the camera body. But the auto-focus worked well and fast under low light and that is the ultimate test for me. Great shots w this lens...worth the money! (Ps. I had to yell at Amazon who did NOT deliver it when promised and almost ruined my photo shoot. So, if you need it asap...order way ahead bc they can not be trusted to deliver on time when needed.)

I planned on getting the older model, the tried and true AT-X116 Pro DX II. But after reading about this one, it sounded great and I took a chance on it (new models of almost any product in their first year can have bugs that need to be worked out). However, so far, so good, and I have nothing but praise for this lens. Although the zoom range is more limited, this lens at its widest end is sharper and brighter in the corners than my older S***a 10-20mm (and that's what I was looking for).

Great lens and price. I wanted a wide angle lens that was fast as 2.8 certainly delivers. A very solid build.

Use it on my D7500, and I love it. Great IQ and remarkably responsive. Can’t say enough about it! Great lens!

Lens çok keskin, en hızlı netleme yapan lens değil belki ama oldukça hızlı netliyor, netleme başarısı çok çok iyi ön-arka netleme bende yok, netleme tutarlılığı da çok iyi. Ben ilk seriyi kullanmıştım 11mm de o da iyiydi ama12-16 arası o kadar da keskin değildi. Bu lens biraz daha iyi. Bazıları yansıma parlamalardan şikayetçi lakin 2.8 ultra geniş tüm lenslerde bu sorun olur, sebebi şişkin kocaman ön elemandır. Parlama istemeyen 2.8 değil daha kısık diyaframlı bir lens almalı. Bu arada Amazon sağolsun zam yapmayı unutmuştu bedavadan az pahalı aldım .

Nice wide angle lens for cropped sensor camera. Nice and sharp. Autofocus is quick enough, your not going to be chasing birds with this. Nice solid build qaulity. My only nit pick is the focus motor noise which sounds a bit clunky but not a big issue.
