Glad I tried these and didn't go with a more expensive brand
I have had the dual 12" kit for a few weeks now. I was very skeptical about the kit since it cost less than what I would expect to pay for any amplifier capable of producing distortion free bass. I bought the whole system from Amazon. 4ch Blaupunkt 1404 amp. Pyle PLG6C component fronts. And JBL GT7 6.5" coaxial rears. And for under $200 the mids- and highs sounded as good as systems I would have spent 4 to 5 times as much for off Crutchfield. So I spent the 180 more to see if I could get a decent full range car stereo for under $400. I installed the subs and amp in a CR-V crossover and for a receiver used a Kenwood KMM-bt522hd single din I bought a couple years ago. I was immediately amazed at how great it sounded. For under $350 It sounded better than some $1000 car systems out there. The 2 - 12" ported box has all the bass u will ever need unless you want to shake all the cars in a 50ft radius. It seems about equal to when I've had a couple kicker comp 12's powered by a 500w+ Kenwood. Though its been a while so I may not be remembering the sound totally correct. But I'm 100% satisfied with the rockville amp-box kit. Honestly, for even a few hundred dollars it would be a bargain to me. Any music style sounds great and I can turn up the gains to max and I haven't gotten any distortion even with bass heavy artists like Bassnectar. I think it sounds ideal in my CR-V with the Pyle 6.5 fronts at 120hz LPF - 24db slope and the Jbl rears 100hz LPF -24db slope. The bass control knob is also really handy. I took it out of the factory housing and it fit perfectly inside an optional accessory switch plug under the shifter after drilling a hole for the knob and the led and applying a dab of hot glue so it won't ever loosen. If you're thinking about trying out one of these kits I would definitely check them out. I read some reviews about amps arriving DOA and I hesitated at first but I'm glad I finally went ahead and tried it before spending more on another brand.

Great product worth the price
For the price it’s great, adds good bass and is easy to setup since the wiring kit is included. I’ve had the Rockville dual 8s in my other car and they have lasted 4 years on max boost with 60% gain, so I’m sure these will last long aswell. My only complaint is that with the dual 12s they sound like are a bit underpowered but for 200$ who cares they are great.

Poor quality won't last
I do not recommend this product. I worked for a major stereo audio brand and I am more than qualified to install this product. Everything was fine for the first few weeks, and the amp went out it is not producing sound anymore. The amp is of poor quality. The company is requesting for me to pay to send back the amp, so they can fix it. Which I am not gonning to do. I don't feel like it's my responsibility to pay to send it back to them. So they can make a right. Do not waist your money.

Owned for 5 years
A real review!!! I’ve had these subwoofers for about 5 years now, unfortunately today is the day they officially blown. 1st off the amp they send with is trash, I fried it probably 3 weeks into owning them. Then I bought a new amp and had them in my 9th gen Si coupe for about 1 1/2 years. Then I bought 2 single box enclosures for them and gave one to a friend and we both ran them as singles for a while. After that my buddy ended up getting a way nicer sub so he gave it back and I put them back in the original enclosure. And just now blew them this past Tuesday when I turned the Amp up way to much 👀, needless to say they had a long life to them for the price. Definitely don’t go crazy or anything but they definitely do hit. If this is your first sub purchase I think it’s a perfect starter package. GET A DIFFERENT AMP THOUGH!!!!

Misleading Advertising, but still works well
TLDR: Misleading Advertising Only 200 Watts RMS, not 400 1200W Peak is a number that doesn't tell you anything useful, RMS is the actual constant power rating to compare to other subwoofers. Good Value Good for people new to subwoofers Easy to install Full Review: First of all, the subs and all work fairly well. Going into these not knowing anything, I liked them, but now upgrading my setup, I did more research, and these are very misleading on their advertising. The amplifier is rated as follows: RMS: 200W @ 4 Ohms; 400W @ 2 Ohms Peak: 1200W --> Doesn't matter, it's a dumb number that you don't need to think about. It is not possible to achieve the 400W @ 2 Ohms, as the subwoofers cannot be wired down to 2 Ohms. The subwoofers are 8 Ohm SVC subwoofers. This means that the subwoofers can only be wired to 4 Ohms resistance, which the amplifier can only put out 200W at. These sub are likely rated for 200W RMS and 600W Peak each. There's also a lot of useless information advertised and a lack of useful info, such as not advertising the Resonant Frequency. Now if you're looking for a subwoofer kit that's easy to install and still gets any bass virgins feeling some thumps, this works great. It's also still pretty well worth the money for what it actually is. They're not necessarily lying at any point in their description, they're just being misleading. If you're looking for something good quality and reputable, this ain't it chief.
