How to Play Use Civiliation Play a Tapestry Card Upgrade Tech Card & Gain Victory Points Gain Income Tapestry Automa - Solo Play Variant Introduces a system for adding two artificial players, the Automa and the Shadow Empire. They take the place of human players and are collectively known as bots. You can use the Automa and the Shadow Empire together to play by yourself or you can use just the Shadow Empire with 2 human players.

Review: A good game, a long game - I’ve really enjoyed playing this game since we got it. The rules aren’t entirely intuitive, and I’d recommend not using the civilisation cards in your first play through so as everyone’s playing by the same rules. It’s a good 2 hours to play a game, but it goes quickly. Slightly annoyingly the box isn’t very well designed for storage compartments, so set-up and pack-up take longer than is ideal.

**Q: How similar to 7Wonders is this? The description talks about science, military, resources, etc...**
A: Not especially similar - there are only four resources, which are committed to four tracks (science, technology, military and exploration) up which you civilisation can advance as the game progresses. There is also a map, on which you can place tokens and explore unexplored hexes (a little bit like Carcassonne). It is more complicated than Seven Wonders by a long shot, but I can highly recommend Tapestry - it has beautiful pieces too.

I’ve really enjoyed playing this game since we got it. The rules aren’t entirely intuitive, and I’d recommend not using the civilisation cards in your first play through so as everyone’s playing by the same rules. It’s a good 2 hours to play a game, but it goes quickly. Slightly annoyingly the box isn’t very well designed for storage compartments, so set-up and pack-up take longer than is ideal.
