The condition is treatable, but as tangible evidence of sun damage is a sign that he needs to be more careful about protecting his skin to prevent worse harm. I'm hoping that the paler colours won't absorb too much in the way of heat from the sun.The hats are reasonably well made, lightweight with decent width brims that help to shade the face nicely. They seem to be able to be folded without damaging the brims, and the adjustable toggle strap helps to keep them on when in use. The crown section is rather smaller and shallower than expected. There's plenty of room for my head in these, but they only just fit Dad. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great hat *by G***W on 1 August 2018* Great hat. Very comfortable. Good fit. I have worn it all Summer since I got it - in the evenings walking the dog when the heat has died down from the heat wave. I like the vented side. I suspect it would probably also offer some protection from a light shower, but haven't been out in one as yet. Folds easily into my back pack. Very reasonable price. Well made and seems robust. I haven't tried washing it yet though, but will probably do it by hand when the time comes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Windproof fishing hut *by Y***A on 14 October 2019* I bought it for my husband. It looks good on him, good size, perfect natural colour and material. It has a straps to make it smaller if needed. The hut protects his forehead and neck from the sunburn as well.
