Does this dollhouse seem sturdy enough for classroom use? For example, will the paint chip if used by many children?

The paint could possibly chip, but so far it seems very sturdy. I think if children play “rough” with any kind of painted wood toy the paint could chip off. If they are reminded early on to play appropriately with it, I think it would last a very long time with lots of use!

Yes, I think so! If you do get the rooms of furniture (purchased separately) note that there are many small pieces that could easily become lost in the classroom if not taken care of! Otherwise, its very sturdy!
