High quality mask... that didn't fit my face.
As a quick disclaimer, this was ordered with a Hollis M1, and a much cheaper option, the Cressi Lince - in my search for a better-fitting mask to avoid the dreaded dive-ruining leak-fest. Spoiler alert, I ended up with the Hollis M1, but *really* wanted to keep this one instead. LIGHT TRANSMISSION/CLARITY: First a start, the Venom Frameless seemed next-level in terms of light-transmission/clarity. Allegedly the Hollis M1 claims super high transmission, but this one just crushed it in the eyeball test. Incredibly clear. VISIBILITY: Paired with the optical clarity (above), the shape really promotes pretty amazing visibility, both laterally, as well as vertically. This one had the best range of visibility, followed closely by the M1. The Cressi was basically tunnel-vision in comparison to both and was instantly out of the running (not that it fit well anyway). MATERIALS: Again, the Venom definitely seemed to surpass the M1 (and obviously the Cressi). The skirt material was incredibly soft and high quality [feeling]. The design slick and just cool-looking overall. COMFORT & FIT: Alas, this is where the Venom failed me... the seal was OK (not great), but more importantly, the hard ridge over the bridge of the nose dug in painfully, and that's doing a simple mask-fit in my studio. Can't imagine this under water, at pressure... it really boiled down to Hollis M1 = no pain (and great seal), Venom = pain. I wanted to keep them both, realistically... but I'd never be able to wear this one in comfort. Here's to hoping they come out with a mask for my nose shape. I'm giving it an overall 5 stars, because I feel like it's a great mask design, just not one that fits my face (that's not a fault in manufacturing, just the nature of masks... they'll fit some, not others).

Pretty Awesome Mask
I bought this for scuba and I’m new to scuba, so I suppose I don’t have a huge frame (pardon the pun) of reference on this, but I love this mask. At first, I did experience some issues: water was seeping into the nose and filling up the bottom of the mask. Because of that, my first dive with this mask was pretty miserable because I was constantly clearing it. I tried another mask and had the same problem, so we theorized that I was the problem, not this mask. I wondered: Is my face oddly shaped? Am I tightening the mask too much? Will I ever be able to scuba dive again? Alas, it suddenly occurred to me to try wearing the mask differently; i.e., lower on my face. Voila! Problem solved. The mask fit like a glove from my second dive onward. I never experienced another leak. It was remarkably effective. Once I also figured out how to properly apply anti-fog (soap) and not to over tighten the strap, this bad boy was crystal clear. I loved the wide and clear field of view it provided. I just love this mask. Very confident in it. Very soft padding. I love the low profile. As with anything, it’ll take a few tries to get it right (1-2 dives in my case), but I feel like it’s perfect. Maybe a more experienced diver would’ve gotten it right on the first dive! Anyway, I don’t leave reviews often, but this mask brought me a lot of enjoyment, so it’s very much deserving. I highly recommend it.

Nice mask, still caused me pain
This is a nice mask with a soft silicon skirt and is definitely low volume. I think that's part of the problem, as I feel pain from many masks right between my eyebrows (glabella). The black plastic surround the nose piece on this one pushes against my glabella when inhaling in, so I know it will start to hurt when the pressure under water presses it to my face. That means as nice as this mask and it's field of view is I have to return it. Check out the Hollis M1 for an alternative that worked for me.

Great comfortable fit. Super clear glass compared to normal mask glass.
Just received this mask and confirmed the fit, was hoping it would seal better with stubble than my Aqualung Infinity but it didn't. Once I shaved it does fit and has a much better seal than my other mask and is very comfortable. The glass is noticeably clearer to look through than my other mask I'm using as a backup now. I wont get to try it in the water for about a month, Ill update once I do. *** Update *** Took this out for a few dives over the weekend, I had to scrub this mask again because it fogs up on me anytime I break the seal and flood it. As long as I don't take it off and the defog stays on it I am fine. This is the only problem I have with this mask so far. I do not know if this is due to the different type of glass used, but I have used an entire tube of Sea-Buff as well as most of a tube of Colgate on it and it seems to fog easier than my Aqualung mask. It just seems to need a bit of extra scrubbing than most other masks I have had. The only other reason I could think of is it sits closer to your face ( less air space than many other masks ) and I run hotter than most.

Exceptional field of view - use baby shampoo as a defogger
LIke many have noted, this mask can fog very easily, but the field of vision is exceptional. I too struggled with fogging until I started using baby shampoo as a defogger. Once I did, no more fogging issues and this became my favorite mask ever. It's a low-volume mask, so it sits close to your face & that's why it can fog up easier than others. Dilute baby shampoo with water about 50/50 and you have the one of the best & cheapest defoggers available. If it doesn't fog, it really is ultra-clear. Occasionally, this mask leaks on me, but I find it needs a tight fit & can clear it and press against my face and get it to seal back up. I think it's because the seal is so soft & 'gummy-like' that you need to push on it to get a good seal. This mask might not fit everyone's face well, but if it fits yours, you will love this mask. I can't use any other mask anymore because the field of vision with this one is so much better than any other mask I've used.

Didn't work well for me
Ok, the Atomic Venom Frameless Mask. I bought this along with other items to upgrade my diving gear prior to a dive trip in BVI. Thought I'd be ready to go with this new bad boy. Well, no. Several problems with this mask. Hey, it could be my face, your results may differ. First off, I gave one star because the mask looks cool. Otherwise, it would have gotten zero stars. #1) This mask fogs like nobody's business. I did to "prep" processes to prepare the glass, but it didn't seem to work. This resulted in needing LOTS of antifog goop. #2) This mask leaks like a sieve. Which actually helps with the fogging, as you have LOTS of water in you mask to clear the fog. #3) Uncomfortable. Somebody in marketing thought it would be great to have a nice big ATOMIC logo right at the top of the mask above the middle. Problem is, this cuts into your forehead after 20+ minutes and really starts to hurt. So, I'll now be looking for a different mask and getting rid of this one.

Great for first scuba mask!
Great fit on 'average face'! Clear glass/view and easy to adjust fitting. Great piece of gear! No leakage if doned properly.

Well made material and comfortable.
I bought this for my son for a diving trip in Belize. He said it was comfortable and fit was perfect.
