The valve's brass body, brass valve seat, and the zinc plated steel spring resist corrosion and can be used in operating temperatures up to 250 degrees F. The preset relief pressure is accurate to within +/- 3 percent and a silicon O-ring provides a leak-proof seal to within 10 percent of the relief pressure. This safety valve is American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) safety rated and displays the UV mark for pressure vessel safety valves. It also displays the NB mark for certification in accordance with NB-501, National Board Certification of Pressure Relief Devices. This safety valve has a 61 cubic feet per minute (CFM) flow rate and is suitable for low capacity pressure relief applications such as in home construction air compressors. Relief valves remove excess pressure or vacuum from a system. The valve openings allow fluids or gases to escape to decrease pressure, and then close once the valve reaches the reseating pressure limit. They also relieve excess vacuum by opening to release a gas into the system and then closing after it reaches its low-pressure limit. Some relief valves have an adjustment mechanism to set the pressure where the valve opens, making it suitable for various applications. Relief valves are rated according to the volume of liquid or gas that can flow through them and the material that the valve is constructed from must be suitable for the fluid or gas, which may be corrosive or at an extreme temperature, in which it operates. Glad to have it
I used this on a modified pressure pot that I use to do resin casting. It works great! I have overfilled my pot more than once ( I mean tested it) and it has released pressure at 60psi as designed and resets itself at 35 psi. I have purchased a second one for a different setup anfter using this.

55 psi (not 60) pressure release valve.
Bought this and installed on a new pressure vessel. The devise was "popping" off but the guage kept showing 54-55 psi. I thought it was a bad psi/bar guage so I bought two new replacements. After installing one of the replacement gauges, this control devise still let-off at 54 psi. This lends one to. Eli eve it's a bad pressure release valve. Not pleased.

For pressure pot, never leaks
I purchased this to replace the stock Valve on my pressure pot I use for casting resin blanks. the valve works great it has not leaked yet with frequent use. I highly recommend this

Not much to say other than it works as designed and seems to be of quality.

Nice!
Very nice valve, relieves pressure with a nice little pop and with quite decent construction. The only thing that I have to complain about is that after a number of uses/cycles the valve doesn't quite pop off but stays open. It could just be my setups but anyhow, anyone using this for conventional purposes will not need to worry about this.

Doesn't work correctly
I got mine today, it pops off at 45 PSI instead of 60. These are technically adjustable, but the mechanism is extremely stiff and will strip if you try to screw it down.So if you need a 45 PSI valve, you're in luck. Otherwise AVOID.
