Pretty and good non-stick
I purchased these 2 frying pans a few weeks back, and both have been good so far. This review is for the larger one (12") with the lighter colored handle. I first purchased the smaller one (9.5" darker handle), and when I went to purchase it's big sister, the price was significantly higher than I wanted to pay. So, in searching around, I found the Caannasweis Nonstick Granite Frying Pan at a much cheaper price. It seems to be made of the same or similar materials (nonstick, gray speckled pan with wood-look "plastic" handle with hanging hole). Both are good pans, both came with a Phillips screwdriver to attach the handle, and neither have the bolt head to catch food in the pan itself. My old ones had the bolt heads in the pan, and you wouldn't think it's a big deal until you see how much easier these are to clean. Time will tell on the longevity of the non-stick and construction, but so far I'm liking it!

Best pans EVER
I highly recommend these pans. I bought one 12 inch one, 2 weeks later I bought an 11 inch one. Non-stick, attractive quality workmanship. One by one I will be discarding my old pans, and buying more of these.

First impression looks good.
First off, let me state that I am not easily impressed with the "looks" of non stick fry pans. Most suffer the same faults. 1. Made of thin aluminum. Conducts heat good but the bottom of the pan springs up when heated and your egg or pancake batter runs to the edge of the pan and away from the center. 2. The long lasting durable non stick surface is neither long lasting or durable. 3. I have not seen a non stick surface on a steel or cast iron pan. Why not? Now I have not used this pan (omelet pan) as yet but this is the thickest heaviest aluminum pan I've ever seen with a nonstick surface. How long that surface will last remains to be seen. I have always used wood or plastic or silicone tools in every nonstick skillet I have had. I don't give a hoot how much wire brushing or sandpaper or steel spatulas they use on TV, the surface is meant to be used gently. Mine usually flakes off from cooking rather than get scrubbed away. The aluminum pan used is die cast aluminium and not a stamping. An aluminium stamping is used to produce the can that holds your Coke or Pepsi for example. That's how thin an aluminum stamping can be. That's also why thin aluminum pans are good for boiling water and that's all. They heat fast, often hotter than they should, so the coating flakes off. A screwdriver is included with the pan to attach the handle. I have not seen this before, but it does re+uire a small but rather long blade to do the job, and I'm not sure if I have such a screwdriver in my toolbox. The pan is made from a thick casting and the coating is almost like stone. I will enjoy using this little pan for eggs. Update I just got this 8 inch pan today. I got the one with a lid. Rather than stick the lid in an envelope or bag made from bubble wrap, this lid had a cloth like covering that had elastic in it so it could be stretched around the outside rim of the lid. This could be retained in case you move your pan and lid together. Seems like a nice touch and something I haven't seen on a pan in this price range. It reflects a level of care about a product that I can appreciate, you have to be proud of your products and stand behind each one, that's how you gain respect from customers, and repeat business. I certainly will purchase from this manufacturer in the future. I should mention the pan cooks beautifully, cleans easily, and I never use metal inside it, and I hand wash it when needed, no dishwasher.

Looks good, feels good, but.... *UPDATED Again
I just got this pan as a replacement to my copper pans to be able to make small servings of eggs and other dishes. The pan came nicely packaged in a cloth bag and bubble wrap. After reading further I have a few small issues I am not sure about. First - as with all wood items in the kitchen, the dishwasher can be an issue. Especially over time, and thus is recommended to wash by hand. Secondly, the pan says not to put on the stove empty. Which is a larger concern when you are "heating up the pan" before putting stuff in to cause a sear/char. I'm not sure, so, i will have to continue to see how it goes. The pan does have a nice notch in it for pouring stuff out, gravy or other liquid sauces or whatnot. UPDATE: We've been using this for a few weeks now making various things from eggs, sausage, to noodles and meatballs. Its still working well. There is a discoloration of the stone now, its a little burned looking. Not much. Its still working well and very smooth to cook on and easy to clean. 2nd Update: I've used this pan for almost a year, and at a frequency of almost every day or even multiple times per day. It really got some heavy use. So, as it lost some of its non-stick, I got a new one. The original one came assembled in a nice velvet case. My new one came in a box, disassembled, and came with a screwdriver the size I would see for glasses.

Great pan to cook with!
Well made. Handles are a bit wobbly but okay. Non-stick coating is a pleasure to cook with and clean. Be sure to let the pan cool off BEFORE cleaning though!
