Upon receiving the pack of six, two of the lights did not work right off the back. I considered returning them but money was tight and these were cheap. I have now completed two years of nursing school and this black light is the only one I have left. I will say though that this pack got me through two years of nursing school successfully but I would recommend investing in better quality to start your nursing job. I also noticed that it is a lot dimmer now then when I first got it and it is probably on it's last leg. The original came with my set but the second one I bought at the bookstore for $4... That was for 1 just as crappy as the original. After losing that one I decided to get these as they were only a few extra dollars for 5 more. All of them worked out of the package just fine and I like how they are different colors (so other people can't steal them) and that they have the pupil gauge. So far none have stopped working but I haven't used them enough to be sure on their length of use.I rated 5 stars because really these things are cheap, and most pen lights for pupils are the same; the difference is that the price actually matches the quality. you have to expect that they wont last long. Really if 4/5 in the package work you are getting a deal.
