Guitar Hero II Bundle with Guitar (PS2)

Brilliant for the price plays brilliantly,it was as described also came before delivery date 😀

The guitar worked, however the disc was scratched and doesn't work which is disappointing. Would have returned, but at least the guitar worked. It's just a shame as I wanted to play guitar hero 2 and now I'm going to have to buy the disc separately.

The first Guitar Hero was maninly successful due to its mainstream appeal in music genre. Having owned the first game and loving the concept of using a plastic guitar to hit musical notes, I was expecting more of the same with the second installment. The problem with the second game is that it lacks the inclusion of well known songs or songs which only appeal to a hardcore metal fan base. The multiplayer options of co-op is great addition to the game along with the practise mode but the songs just let the game down in comparison to the first game.I would advise anybody who is new to Guitar Hero to get the first game which in my view was a brilliant game.

I bought this for my son for Xmas and he adores it. He's a left hander but has no problem playing it right handed and I think you can configure it for upside down play if you want to. My only two issues are firstly the use of the odd bleeped expletive here and there in the narrative - why do that? Secondly the music all sounds the same and I think a bit more of a mix genres would be better.That said - it's great fun and it's not easy to master - I've been playing the real thing for 35 years and quite a few of the licks have got me beat! The tuorials are simple and fun to do - as is the practice mode so all in all I can't really knock it.The ability to download your own tracks might come with the PS3 (as is planned for the Singstar series) but there's enough on here to maintain your interest.All we need now is an equivalent game for drums and then we'd really be rocking!!

I am 52 years old and just love Guitar Hero. I have bought all of them for my son and am amazed how it has educated him to a whole load of fantastic music from my youth. How great to hear him playing along to FreeBird and now he thinks I'm cool as I know these bands! Great entertainment for family or friend get-togethers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL AGES!

Incredible fun for my old console, although still a little pricey for 2 generations previous.
