KEEN Men's Newport H2 Sandal

I have purchased 5 different Pairs of Keen hiking sandals over past few years, last for ages. Ware daily except Winter. Well made and comfortable and very hard wearing. May seem a bit pricey but well worth the money.

I wanted a sandal I could wear both on land and in the water while paddle boarding, I found it quite difficult to walk from the shore into the rocky bottom of the lake in bare feet. An old injury made it difficult to walk barefoot. I did a little research and discovered these , they are ideal , very comfortable, durable, lightweight and various sizes available . Value for money item and still quite stylish, easy to use and dry off .

Good quality walking sandal which looks and feels really robust, like it will be very durable. Supremely comfortable and lightweight once you have got it on, with an easy drawstring to set the tightness. I have only given four stars due to the fact these feels a little tight, I would have gone one size larger had I realised, but I already have another pair of Keen summer walking shoes and these were on the generous side, so felt confident buying my own size 11. Another minus point is they are very hard to get on, as the rear ankle strap is not very elastic; these would certainly benefit from some means of adjustment, though I stress that once they are on your feet, they are very comfortable. These are good for moderately rough terrain and have already used them for several full day outings without any problem, proving to give good protection, while also being very flexible and giving good grip on all surfaces.

Wow - I was not sure what to expect. Took a chance with these and I am blown away! On a recent trip to Albania I took a walk up a hill, which quickly became a rocky mountain and it took me eight hours to make it from the bottom to the top through the most inhospitable terrain. These shoes gripped beyond belief whilst offering amazing support and comfort - for hour after hour. So, I was amazed. Then, I went swimming in a rocky river, in two different valleys. These grip on wet rock too and I kept them on whilst swimming. They don't get heavy as they don't hold water - so, there is another plus - even better than my actual swim shoes in every respect (put them in the bin!). On a shopping trip I didn't feel out of place wearing these in a restaurant. Go on, buy them, they are fantastic.

I bought these sandals to wear when riding my ElliptiGO cycle in the hope that they might help prevent a problem I have with the soles of my feet burning up during an extended period of riding. Before trying them on the bike I put them on to wear in the house to 'break them in' and evaluate how my feet took to them. Satisfied, after five hours wearing them, I tried them on the bike, which is stationary - attached to a turbo-trainer in the garage for the winter. They remained comfortable during one hour of constant pedalling during that ride and have since managed to undertake up to three hours continuous pedalling before my feet started to burn! The wide fitting and ample toe-box is also worthy of mention, as it affords the room for the feet to expand and wriggle room for the toes during prolonged exercise, as well as working well with the toe-cages on my ElliptiGO. I wear the Keens without socks, use them daily in the house, as well as alternating them with trainers for my rides and they are still fresh and clean! The foot bed is extremely comfortable and my feet do not slide around. The elasticated upper too is very comfortable, despite me having a high instep. My high instep means that I have to use both hands to grip the front and rear tabs to open the sandal and pull it over my instep, but it is worth the effort to bathe my feet in comfort! I wear the Keens with the drawstrings loosened completely off to keep the pressure off my insteps (which also suffer from laces, when my feet swell), although I do tighten them before riding to prevent my toes from working their way up against the toe-box. With the drawstring slackened off, and my high instep, the elastic compression of the upper is sufficient for everyday walking.

Well made but way, way too narrow for my feet and I bought half size up and don't normally need wide fitting shoes. Had to return them :(

I bought a pair of these in spring 2012 before going on a 10 day trip exploring the SW US. I wore these hiking all over the place. The closed toe is hard enough that kicking into a rock doesn't hurt. They were great. This year I bought two pair, one for town and one for hiking. They were a bit tight when I got them but within a few days of wearing them they had loosened up a bit. But they were not sloppy and they are easily adjustable to fit how you want them.

Well pleased with the quality. Perfect for wider than usual feet. Size runs slightly small in terms of length.

Excellent show, one size up and fitted very well

This is my 4th pair of newport. Each pair last me around 4yrs. Very versatile sandal. It follow me for my bike rides and light hiking. Highly recommended sports sandals.
