Good fit, mediocre sound.
I was happy about the way these feel in my ear. I really hate those earphones that have the rubber seal...i am always looking for the ones that feel goo in your ear, smooth. I was dissapointed about the sound. Not real good quality. But they are OK for the price.

Painful to Use
My previous over ear headphones were destroyed by my dog and I had to replace them fast. I didn't want to spend enough to get a pair that was going to last. This was only for the interim between headsets/earbuds. What I didn't know was that these wouldn't even be usable for that amount of time. Immediately upon inserting them into my ear I recognized that they were going to make my ears hurt. Maybe this is simply a sign that I have abnormally small ear holes. The sound quality wasn't to the level I was used to with my old headset. That made it difficult to pick up on different sounds. Especially if using the earbuds for any kind of team chat. Ultimately, I ended up buying a set from skull candy. As loathe as I was to do it, they functioned better and the actual rubber insert made them much more comfortable.

PLEASE READ IF YOU GET BAD AUDIO
Once you get the headphones, please clean the contacts on the 3.5mm jack. These are both the outside (metallic part), and the inside (crevices that appear to be black). If you get any of the following issues, very likely your problem will disappear: 1- L/R side not having sound/having a different track playing from your usual test audio. 2- Very low quality audio. As in, muffled/unaudible, static, etc. 3- If your mic sounds really poorly. Cleaning the contacts is very simple. Use a splash of water on one of your fingers, cover the 3.5mm jack (metallic section) with it, then just scrap it off with a piece of cloth gently. Remember to pass that same piece of cloth over the crevices to make sure everything's usable. Apart from that, it's a pretty good set of headphones by the price. Just that minor detail out of the box, and after you're good to go.

Poorly designed in-ears that requires a seal, but don't seal well.
I was hoping to get a pair of proper earbuds, that is earphones that just rested on the outer ear that don't require penetrating/sealing the ear canal. Unfortunately, the drivers are tuned to require a sealing against the ear canal, making these an awkward hybrid of in-ears and traditional earphones ("outer ears", if you will), where the bulk of the unit is indeed resting on the outer but the small stem enters the canal just enough to seal it off. However, the shape and materials don't lend to sealing easily, so I get a unnaturally flat sound, without any bass at all and hobbled mids. Some mild pressure from my finger can force a seal, which causes these to sound surprisingly decent, but not what I'd call "audiophile" or enthusiast grade and without that seal you may as well be using $1 earphones. Because of the hard plastic and really shallow stem, these don't want to seal at all - it can be done, but it isn't consistent with my ears and takes a lot of effort where I have to pull and wiggle my ears to open the canal enough to seal, and at that point I might as well use my proper IEM (In-Ear Monitors) with foam tips. Even if you can get a seal, it's not a great one since the stem is small and hard plastic - the size comparison in-ears is stark. Actual in-ears utilize pliable tips (e.g. foam, silicone) to mold to each ear and their regularities. Where as to these, since each ear is unique, the impliable hard plastic either means bad seal or discomfort, or both. In my case, these are comfortable enough, but I can't for the life of me get a good, consistent seal, so the sound quality I get is wildly variable. The silver lining is that if I can't get a seal, I can just put on some black metal for a trve kvlt experience. As for some pros, the build quality is better than expected - the mic-button feels good, wire isn't unreasonably thin, and nothing has fallen off. And obviously the price is right at ~$10. Bottom line, these are like a hybrid of in-ear/earbuds ("outer ears"), and I've found they don't achieve the same quality as in-ears, with a major factor being the design doesn't allow sealing the ear canal, and not nearly as convenient as ear buds, getting the worst of both worlds for me. It doesn't work for my ears, but at $10, these are well built, and it's hard to gripe. If these can fit (more specifically seal) your ears properly, then this could actually a great buy.
