what is the size of each platform? Thank you

Just measured the plates for you, they are16cm by 26cm.hope this is helpful.

Is there a timer built in

No sorry not with this product just LIGHT INDICATORS when the power is on and also lights up to indicate when the plates are up to temperature and ready for cooking - Thanks

How is this a health grill if it doesn't drain off the fat?

The one I have is quite good at draining the fat. It does help by tilting it slightly with the handle while cooking.

could you let me know the size please
