The product is well packaged, in an Apple-style box, complete with the Torx-key you need for the screw. First impression is that this unit is built like a tank! The keys are responsive, and feel like the type you would find on a public phonebox phone (designed to withstand anything short of a direct hammer attack) and the weight is reassuringly heavy.The backplate comes off fairly easily with the Torx-key provided, and underneath the unit appears well weather-sealed.For fitting this, you would need to use the backing plate as your template for the drill holes, but not a major issue. I would perhaps like to see drill holes to allow this to be fixed to a standard 2" x 4" electrical junction box (see last photo) and think this could be an easy update for the manufacturers to make. It would also be fairly easy to do yourself, if you are competent with a drill.Overall - first impressions are really good. I am planning on using the Wiegand interface feature of this to work with a SIP intercom that I have already installed, so it will simply send key-codes to the intercom, which will handle the relay on the electric gate if the code is accepted.

I loved it. Buy it...you won't regret it. There are other cheaper options on Amazon but this one is well worth the higher price. I ordered one of the cheaper models but ended it returning it due to the poor, cheap aspect of it.I installed this on my van to be able to unlock it without keys or remote. It hasn't seen rain yet but I trust its weatherproof rating...REALLY well built product. One of the reviewers wrote that the keypad feels like it came from a public telephone. I totally agree with this comparison...seems as well built and bulletproof as the pubic phone keypads.

Es un teclado con una calidad excelente, materiales resistentes y muy bien construido. La programación es muy sencilla y las conexiones también. Pero ojo se debe tener en cuenta que NO sirve para leer tarjetas EM solo HiD por ese motivo lo he tenido que descambiar. Existe otro modelo de esta misma marca que sí sirve para tarjetas EM igualmente con un acabado y calidad totalmente profesional.
