Secrets of Buying and Owning Laundromats

I've read other books, but liked most about knowing when to step away from the w2 and run your mats, that's been a hard step for me. Brian bought a neighboring mat near me and that's how I heard about his book. It's a good read and informative.

First point is that Amazon delivered on schedule via the Postal services. I purchased this book because a friend has shown some interest in being in this type of business. Therefore given as a gift. When I first thumbed through the book to see the various items covered in starting such a business I found that it is a very comprehensive guide book to begin a laundromat business. it covers all the possibilities of start-op with or without you having ready cash. in other words how to apply for cash at institutions. based on your research of the potential facility The book appears to be a simple walk through of all the procedures to begin a business and the author obviously knows his business inside and out. All in all a good book

I've just recently became a laundromat owner and still found this book very helpful, I liked his insights on how to find the best deal on new equipments and store layout. Come to think of it, if I would have read this before we bought our store, we could have done better on the valuation of the store and paid the seller less. I would recommand this to all prospective laundromat buyers as this book offers a great blue print for things you need to know and watch out for; for existing laundromat owners, it never hurts to find out how others are (or will be) running the business...

I purchased this item recently since a colleague of mine has asked me to co-invest in a couple of potential laundromat transactions. This book is well-written and covers a lot of relevant topics (e.g., selecting equipment, store layouts). However, for a book that claims to be about the buying and owning of laundromats, there is very little information provided relative to the buying process. If you are looking for information about how to analyze a potential laundromat acquisition, such as typical due diligence, how to come up with a valuation, etc... you will not find that information in this book. Instead, you are directed to the author's web page where you can allegedly purchase a separate product that covers that topic. (However, as of the date of this writing, the link to that product on his web page is disabled so there is no way to purchase it). With so little useful information regarding due diligence or valuation, I find this book to be only somewhat useful overall, hence the 3-star rating. And I was disappointed to learn that the book directs you to buy yet another product from the author to get basic information about buying a laundromat - information that, I'm sure, many readers would expect to find within the book.

I read this book based on the recommendation of a friend of mine who knows the author and knows he in deeds lives the live he talks about. I have been wanting to buy a Laundromat for a long time and now after reading the book I feel much more equipped and knowledgeable to do so. Great book, easy to read and very detailed and informative on all aspects of buying, owning and improving a laundromat.

Not worth the price - a lot of fluff that you can get free on the web - very disappointing

This book is perfect, just enough details to get you going down the right path. Short, to the point, includes allot of good info. Something I will probably go back too occasionally as a reference. The one thing I hate buying is a book that has a ton of stories when if you were a decent enough writer you could get the point across without all the fluff. This Book DOES NOT DO THAT, thank goodness. Good job Brian.. thanks
