The packaging was nothing fancy but the product itself is amazing. It smells like you could season chicken with it but the results make you look past the smell. I decided to use it on my hair when I got a sew in because I knew it would be in for a while. I created a thick consistancy using leave in, oil,and a good amount of the chebe powder and applied it to my cornrows. After about 4 weeks I'm noticing my braids are super loose and decide to remove the sew in. I didn't realize until I washed my hair but it had grown about 2 INCHES in 30 Days!!! Cons: the smell. It smells like it could be dinner It's also very messy during the application process and when you are taking your hair down the Chebe falls out and looks like dirt. I don't mind the mess. I have it in my hair currently. Next time I eill have before and after pics UPDATE!! I am still using the chebe with my protective styles only. Still mixing it with leave in and whatever my favorite oil is at the time. I am amazed by my results. initially I planned to use it until May ( my birthday month) in hopes of getting close to Bra Strap Length by May or by the end of Summer. Well I am already past Bra Strap Length. I cannot believe it . Ive been using it for about 4 months now. My new plan is to use it until its gone. I am pretty sure I can use it for at least 4 more protective styles. I'm so excited. I currently have a crochet in I will put up pics once I remove this.

Tiny but powerful. I bought a pack in November and still haven’t used it up. It came in 2 little tea bags. I put 3 tbps of Chebe “teabag” in about 6 oz of avocado and olive oil for the cold press oil. It took about 2 weeks of it sitting in a jar. Then used the same teabag, simmered in 6 oz of oil and still got a lot extracted. In fact, I’ve been able to use the same teabag about 4 times before the color of the oil is pale, that’s when you know there is no more Chebe. I still have 1 and half bags left. So a little does go a long way. As for the oil! It is very moisturizing! I’ve used it in creams, shampoo, hair masks, and leave in spray. I’ve noticed that I no longer suffer from dry scalp and hair syndrome even when I’m busy and forget to use it for days. In fact, I recently had my hair in cornrows for 4 weeks(I had battled covid) and only use my Chebe oil leave in and my when I finally felt better to wash my hair, I had the tiniest hair ball...after 4 weeks of not washing. Just on that I highly recommend. Tip: use a mortar to make it the chebe finer and easier to extract. Any cheap nylon will work better than cheesecloth. Chebe is fine enough to slip through cheesecloth. You may have to filter through nylon a few times, but keep the chebe, you can extract it a few more times especially hot extraction. After the hot extract, I use chebe powder with my Ayurveda powders in a prepoo. Hope this helps!

I rate this product a four because for my hair the results are not producing much at what they claim it is supposed to do for the hair. I have little growth that I'm not sure whether it is due to the chebe or not. My granddaughter has hair that gets matted and is difficult to comb through. I used it on her hair and was for the first time able to comb through her hair with ease. It moisturized her hair and left it feeling great! I'm hoping to do an update for my hair because I believe it can do wonders for my hair. I will work with it to formulate a product that will work for my hair.

First day using the product as a hair treatment 3/12/19 . I mixed it with coconut oil. I heated the coconut oil in the microwave (hot) then mixed the chebe powder in it Until i got a good sort of thick mix. I parted my hair rubbing each section scalp to root with it. left it on as directed for 2-3 hours then followed up by washing my hair with shampoo 2xs rubbing my scalp /massaging it.. then conditioned it.. to remove the excess of tiny seeds that the mix leaves off my hair... i let it air dry (i don't use heat on my hair) and brushed my hair ... Let me tell you this product i can see will work out well. The only thing I'm not fond of is its smell... smells like maybe weed...and so i wouldn't recommend atleast with this product to leave it on your scalp for a day or two. Use it as a treatment to then wash off. Your hair will not retain its smell after being washed. After washing etc ..conditioning... Without adding any products to moisturize my hair after the wash, my hair was already soft and no breakage as i comb through it. I will continue its usage to keep up with my growth.

Excellent product that definitely maintains the hair you grow. It does NOT grow your hair per se, but deeply moisturizes the hair & helps you to retain length. It tends to be gritty, but I minimize the grit by adding whipped tallow & my preferred oils. In 2 months I have 4inches of growth retained & the only hair in my comb is that which is naturally shed. The condition of my hair is super healthy & strong. It does take a few extra washes to remove all the chebe from the hair. I use a clarifying then a moisturizing shampoo to help the process along. It is a great product for transitioning hair & for those wanting to retain length. Although a little expensive, I would buy this again. I do not know any other product that does what chebe does; it delivers 100%.

Looks very small doesn’t look like photo smells like coffee grinds and a little bit of something else but we’ll see what it does for my hair

So far so good! I decided too levee this in my hair just like chadian women do. Its been almost to weeks sho its time to order more powder. Im 24, black with about bra strap length hair like 4a 3c mixture. You will definately need more then that. It thickened up my hair is stronger and i would say immediately made my hair feel stronger and softer. I just put it in 4 or five large twist for easy take down to remoisturize. So easy not having to do it. I wear it out in public and sometimes wear a knitted bonnet. Im gonna levee it in for a while until i take it down wash and trim this weekend. Then buy more and reapply. It kept my hair really moisturized and i just wet it last night in the shower and threw a plastic bag (shower cap) on and went to sleep woke up fine and remoisturized. Oh and my androgenic alopecia edges no more breakage!

Since you only use 1-2 teaspoon of this even though the package is small you can get maybe 20+ uses out of it which is great! It is gritty, I mixed raw shea butter, olive, jojoba and avocado oils and my deep conditioner from Aunt Jackies. Follow directions on here or YouTube. Left my hair with noticeably less breakage, like down to a few strands overnight, softer, curls more defined. I applied to my hair(don’t put on your scalp) after washing. Used it as a deep conditioner put a bag on and left overnight. I have low porosity 3b- 4c hair and I washed out with As I Am Curl Clarity shampoo. Conditioner (shea moisture) then I’m going to add another chebe mix and braid 5 large for the next week. A little bit got in my scalp it didn’t hurt but it did itch and I had to wash that spot a lil more. It takes a long while to wash it out so be gentle

C’est très difficile à enlever des cheveux, mais le résultat finale (même après la première utilisation) est incroyable, les cheveux sont doux, démêlés et forme (pour ma part) des boucles très définit. C’est un produit que je recommande fortement pour les gens qui ont les cheveux crépus comme les miens. L’odeur est forte, mais on s’y habitue. Il m’a fallu le 3/4 d’un sac pour faire mes cheveux, sachant que le prix n’est pas donné. Merci 10/5

I have used this to make Chebe oil. I infused it with olive oil. It’s too early to say if it’s working to reduce breakage but it smells wonderful, similar to frankincense and baby powder
