Produced in USA. Large can but worth it. Hydrates well and tastes good in food. Good quality. If not opened, has shelf life of 25 years. Very clean and good smell. Recommend.

These are excellent! You can tell as soon as you open the can. The smell is so fresh. I use them in everything. So many compliments from people at potlucks how I was able to afford so many peppers and how good they tasted in the different spaghettis or sauces and even added them to a fresh vegetable mix from my garden and nobody knew they weren't from my garden. I make this a monthly purchase

I bought these so I would always have green peppers for chili. I love chili and being handicapped I can’t run to the store every time I want to make it, so based on other reviews I bought a can of these and am so glad I did. I added the recommended 1/4 cup plus a little extra since my recipe was a little larger than the recipe on the can and crossed my fingers. I can’t believe how good it was. I could taste the green peppers flavoe better than with fresh peppers, the exception being when I grow my own peppers. These however were just as flavorful as my homegrown bell peppers. I liked them so much I just ordered a second can so I don’t have to worry about running out. I’m going to try them on my flatbread pizza and breakfast scramble. Absolutely worth the money.

Great value and versatile in many uses

I use this every day in soups, stews, and other dishes and it's been a solid addition when store trips or availability of fresh has been an issue. Longest open can has gone about six months without any degradation that I could discern. In general, I find Augason Farms to have solid consistent products and, while expensive, for those of us far from stores, a good value as supplement and survival food. I use this product, the whole egg powder, the butter powder and the freeze-dried shredded cheese pretty much every day. No complaints.

This is a substantial sized can. Love the product - and had enough to give to all my family and friends.

Easy to use in the recipes

Bought this for our "survival" pantry since it has a very long shelf life, but ended up getting into it out of curiosity. I have to say that I just LOVE this product! It's easy to use, simply add a little water to rehydrate the peppers, or toss them in dry when you're cooking up spaghetti sauce or chili. The pieces are small and pack a lot of flavor. Yes, the can is only maybe 2/3 of the way full (wouldn't it be nice if it were full up!), but I'm guessing that's because they are selling it by weight not volume. I'm OK with this, and am overall so pleased with this purchase that I've bought it 9 times (one for the cupboard, 8 for long term storage). Definitely something that I will rotate through as I use this product at least once a week in cooking. So far, I've added rehydrated peppers to omelets, hash browns and soup so far - many uses and you get a lot for your money. I would like to have fresh bell peppers on hand but I hate for them to go to waste. I do grow mini peppers in my Aerogarden and also full size peppers in the garden in the summer, but for the rest of the year, this is a wonderful solution for having the taste of fresh peppers in my food, all year round.
