Works but needs bigger alignment rod.
I just finished replacing 44 Hunter PGP heads. It took me a while to figure out how to use the SRT. Once I figured it out, I was able to take the heads out without any problem. The problem came when I tried to put the new ones in. The vast majority of them would not line up even with the included rod. The rod seemed to be too small to align things properly. I decided to cut a new rod that fit into the 3/4 male socket in the ground. This new rod fit perfectly and changed my whole feelings about how this is supposed to work. With the new rod, I was able to change out a single head in less than five minutes. The folks making this product should include a bigger rod so that the alignment goes smoother. If you are thinking of buying this tool, let me reassure you that it does work. Just get a larger diameter rod to help line up the new head body.

It works like a golden gem
This tour was an incredible timesaver. I lifted up close to 75 sprinkler heads in two days. There was a little bit of a learning curve. We would first isolate the sprinkler head and remove some of the top layer covering it. I then would put the SRT on top of it and then tap on with a mallet. After that, I would attempt to remove the sprinkler completely. Often times the whole sprinkler did come out and that was great. Other times the whole sprinkler did not come out, and I had to use a channel lock to take the remaining portion of the sprinkler out. I would then add the riser on to the appropriate length put the sprinkler head back together. Are used a shop vacuum to remove any debris that was left in the hole. After that, I would then put the sprinkler with the riser back down and tightened it into place. It literally would average anywhere between 3 to 7 minutes a sprinkler head. This tour was a significant timesaver as well as a money saver. There is a learning curve but once you figure it out, It works like a golden gem

Perfect Sprinkler Head Servicing Tool
This makes getting sprinkler heads out very easy. You don't even need to trim the grass first. Just pick the right end screw it out. Save time and don't remove the body, just the internals. If you turn the head back and forth two or three times you can leave the body in the ground and pull out the replaceable head and internals. It is very good at making sprinkler head replacement fast. The seller includes a lot of thoughtful advice on how to use his tool, has a website with FAQ and encourages phone calls to ask questions. This is the perfect sprinkler aiming tool. Use it to turn the head and you won't get wet.

Great design, and would work well
Great design, and would work well, however I did return mine. My problem was that my heads had sunk down pretty low, and I found that this product did not save me much time at all due to the digging I had to do to preposition my sunken risers. For those who do not have problems with sunken heads, I think this product could be a great time saver!

Head [tool] for the Dump
I had read the negative reviews for this product before I purchased it, but since I never know when to trust negative reviews, I watched a video demonstration (by the seller) of this tool being used. After viewing the video, I was convinced that this tool was for me. After carefully measuring my sprinkler (Hunter PGP) heads, I ordered the appropriate version of this tool. I was very excited when it arrived, since I was sure that I was not going to have to dig up my sprinkler heads in order to add a riser to get them back up to turf level. Imagine my disappointment when this tool would not grip my sprinkler heads. It seemed to cut through the sod okay, but it just wouldn't grip the heads. It's been sitting on the floor in my garage ever since. Haven't had the time to go through the headache of returning it, so haven't even tried. I'm pretty sure that I'm using it correctly...it just doesn't work for me. Hope you all have better luck.

Wanted to love this thing and it in part does what it says. But most spronkler have removable rings that hold the popup inside. This tends to remove the ring and leave the sprinkler in the ground.

GOOD for removal BAD installation
It seemed a little too good to be true -- and it was. The tool grips the head and the lever gives good leverage for removal, but the rod is not a great guide to thread the new sprinkler body to the tube fitting.

I used this tool to raise about a dozen Hunter PGP sprinkler heads. Only two of those heads gave some difficulty in removal but was still easier/faster than digging up the sprinklers.
