First Act CR425 Cars Dynamic Microphone and Amplifier, Cardioid

My three year old LOVES this mic! I actually bought it in January and gave it to him in March for his birthday. Sadly, the knob to turn it on and to control volume stopped working only five weeks into his playing with it, without trauma to the toy. I contacted First Act, Inc. and without hesitation, the customer service rep sent another out right away. Wonderful customer service and this second mic is going strong!

I'm giving one star because there's no other lower option, and I do have to admit that while it worked my son enjoyed it tons. This is CHEAPEST QUALITY ever.. so disappointing. We got this as a birthday gift 2 months ago. Considering it's been given a moderate use, this microphone stopped working for no reason. First, the plastic (cheap plastic must say) that holds the microphone broke... then batteries were dead in no time. And at last the thing stopped working for good. It's useless now. I wouldn't recommend buying. We got this because our son loves cars and singing so we thought it was perfect. But no. Next time I'll buy better quality even if it means a plain black microphone.

The cord that attaches from the microphone to the base well get pulled quite often and this would cause the wiring to become loose inside the microphone...causing it to stop working. I have to open the microphone and tweak it so that it counters the pulling. So once you do some DIY improvements this microphone should work pretty well. I wish that it auto shuts off. It uses batteries only and I have to change it a few times already. Very popular toy with my kid and her friends.

Great idea. My kid loves playing rock star but the toy was too cheaply made, after being drugged around by a two year old it lasted about 1 week. The first thing to go was the switch to turn the mic on and off. It stayed on which wasted batteries. I tried open it and repair it but like I said too cheaply made.

bought this for my 2 year old brother and ever since he got it he wouldn't put it down! i like how you can connect your ipod to it and search for karaoke songs on youtube to sing on it. great buy!

This was a cute gift for a little guy who thinks he is a great singer.We also got him a guitar to go with it.

The toddler loves it, I can plug the amplifier and have somewhat of a surround sound.....Good enough for a toddler

I bought the microphone for my grandson, he loves it!! But it turned out to be fun for the whole family on Christmas day!! Lots of Christmas carols were sang using the microphone. All had fun be a singing star!!

Arrived on time and in good condition. The microphone is the perfect height for my 4yr old and can extend as he grows.
