These gaiters did what I needed: keep snow out of the backs of my boots, flipped up by the snowshoes. They are easy to put on, the under-boot strap did not loosen or interfere with the snowshoe bindings, and they did the trick. Halfway through the trip, the tie-strings on the bottom had completely fallen apart and some of the stitching was becoming undone. I was able to repair the separated seam, and continued to use them for the remaining days of our trip. Even without the strings at the bottom, they stay in place pretty well, but they do spin a bit and aren’t as good. I’ll probably mess with them a bit more but after another trip or two, they’ll end up in the trash.
