Taking a look at the photo I attached, at the top - the original clip which came with my Saramonic mic broke when I pulled off the mic to flip it (which is why most of us are here purchasing new mic clips). The top clip is the old broken clip. You can see the "teeth" in the old clip fully meet with the metal bar. The clip in the lower part of the photo is THIS clip from the new Amazon package. While I can easily pull off the mic to change the direction (without it breaking! - a great feature!), the "teeth" don't fully meet up with the metal bar. If I clip it to a sweater or other thick material, it is fine. But on a button-down shirt, it won't hold the clip to the shirt's front placket. I have to carefully slide it down to just above a button so that it stays in place. Fortunately I am sitting while filming. But if you need to move around, walk around, etc., the clip will only hold to thicker material. I might have received a poorly made batch. Other people reviewing this haven't attached close-up photos showing whether the batch they received has this gap.

Great replacement parts for lavalier microphones. Not exactly a perfect fit (the manufacturer parts are very expensive, btw), but a very close fit, work quite well and I have enough of them that I don't need to worry about running out.

I have a lavaliere microphone that came with a crappy plastic clip that broke almost immediately. I had been using painter's tape and grip tape to hold it to fabric, which would have been embarrassing if I had to use it for anyone other than myself. I accidentally came across this product and immediately ordered them. I'm very pleased. They are very sturdy. You could use them for holding other things too such as lights on a string or a single thin chopstick (that's just the size of the clamp, I don't know why you would want to do that). They look and feel like they will never break, so having multiples seems superfluous. Perhaps I should get more lav mikes to use them all with. 10000% would recommend.

The clips for the lab mics are fine, although a little large to not be conspicuous. The little foam wind screens however, are not fine. They have no inner plastic circle to snap onto the mic and therefore fall off as soon as you put them on.

I bought these to replace a broken Sennheiser clip for our EW500 wireless mic set. These do not appear to be as durable as others, but for the price they work fine and if necessary we'll just replace them more frequently.
