The VP-Harrier is our premium flat pedal for MTB. The Harrier's forged aluminum pedal body is optimized for thinness, low weight and high strength. The Harrier is BIG assuring you greater stability and an incredible connection to the bike, but at the same time keeping pedal strikes to a minimum by employing a respectably thin body. The polymer bearings allow the pedal to be flat to the crank with no intrusive bearing bulge or slight convex and sloping profile that is often present on a pedal as thin as these. The pins are forged from steel for maximum durability and thread through a reinforced area in the pedal with deep thread engagement. This is the perfect platform pedal for the all-mountain rider.

Broken Spindle
I bought these for my mountain bike. I needed larger pedals other than what came on the bike (I'm 6'4, 220lbs, so tiny pedals aren't ideal for my size 14 shoe). I didn't spend more than 2 minutes on these pedals before the spindle snapped. I didn't even make it to the trails to test them out. Essentially, the bolt that holds the pedals and spindle together sheered in half inside the spindle on my first attempt to bunnyhop, causing the entire pedal and spindle to fall off the crank arm. My gut tells me these are cheap components and hardware. Very disappointing. I'll probably be going with some Crank Brothers now.

I really couldn't be much happier
What a pedal! Great price, great build. Simple, solid, light, clever and BIG!!Love the size. Very comfortable and wider stance. Lots of confidence on these pedals. Bigger pedals really make a difference in my riding. I can stand in such a way that I have more leverage over the bike and myself. It's just more comfortable too, in every way. They're also pretty light especially when you consider the size (about 370 grams). If you want to spend like an extra 130 bucks, I think you can get a newer TI version that cuts 100 grams off. And that pedal, by any flat pedal standards, is very light!

Great flat pedal for those with LG and/or wide feet
Great flat pedal for those with LG and/or wide feet. Big area, thin, light for the size, and the pins grip nicely.I wear my FiveTen's with these and it's a great combo.Only knock is that they spin on and off with an 8mm instead of a pedal wrench but that's my own personal preference and not worth a hit on the 5 star rating

Great for big feet. Need a version with bearings.
I have size 13 feet and love how large these pedals are. The pins make for great traction. The down side is these pedals are bearingless. In a short mine developed slop. They will still work well they will just slop around. If I greased them every couple rides they might last longer.

Super grippy pedal
Love the VP Component pedals. I am not fond of clipless but need a sturdy pedal with good grip. This is it. I actually bought these for a road bike. I have a pair on my commuter bike also. The grip is so good I actually have to lift my foot to change positions. Be warned if you catch your shin on this pedal it is going to leave a mark. I am a tad klutzy so I have left scratches on my shin before.

Works great and safer than clip-less.
Using these instead of clip-less because I am going cross country and getting feet down in situations (I am 70) is more important than the slight advantage to clip less. They work great with standard tennis shoes.

Killer pedals
I got this pair of flats because I have a W I D E foot, and this had the widest area I could find. It is a great pedal don't hesitate to buy them. I saved money by getting the silver ones, for fifty some odd bucks, then took my remaining coin and procured some flat black paint. They are like ninjas now, slick, black, silent, and deadly.

Easy to clean
Easy to clean. Large footprint. low profile, better center of gravity. Your foot will not slip off this pedal regardless what kind of shoes you wear! The best flat pedal I've ever used. I highly recommend!
