Very nice for the money. Color isn't tan. Could easily strip out.
Nice for the $50. The color is NOT tan and definitely not FDE. It's more of a shiny tan/silver. The adjustment legs could easily strip out if over tightened. I have it on my son's 22. I would but it again for a light weight small caliber gun.

Don't think it's FDE color
My son ordered this for his coyote rifle thinking it was FDE. This is definitely NOT FDE or tan. In small print the description says black. Not a bad bipod for his application. I would not put it on anything heavier or bigger than his .223

Great design sturdy construction
I love this bipod. And it is well worth the money. I have added this to an AR15 from Diamondback Firearms and it fits the rail nicely.Good: it is handy that this swivels left and right a bit without having to lift and reset your position. It also tilts to be able to use 45 degree sights or just to level your shot. It is made of good sturdy construction.Areas of improvement: the weight is a little more than I would like to see but for the cost it’s comparable. I am not a fan of screw down adjustment legs as it seems you can never get them quite tight enough however I rarely extend the legs so this is not a big issue. The color seemed to be closer to a brass than a flat dark earth but again not a huge issue.Overall I would recommend this to anyone looking to add a bipod and I would definitely buy this product again at this price.

riffle prop.
Rocks side to side and has no lock for this function.

It’s alright
The screws at the bottom of the bipod to extend the legs got stuck for mine. It took a while for me to readjust it to work again, but the problem is persistent. I really just bought it for the aesthetic. When I go out hunting I don’t really use the bipod. However, the bipod feels rather flimsy

It's nice to have for bench shooting and locks up nice ...
Not the sturdiest of bipods ever made but not a lout by any stretch of the imagination. Adds negligible weight to a rifle though I wouldn't leave it as a permanent addition to any tactical weapon. It's nice to have for bench shooting and locks up nice and tight into a picatinny rail. The integrated pivot feature is a nice thought, but is a little too loose for most practical applications. Still, it holds the weight of a decked out SCAR 17S just fine with the legs fully extended and works for its intended purposes. Good deal for the price but don't expect Atlas, or even Harris, quality when you're only paying a fraction of what you would for the better known brands.

Does not fit Picatinny rail properly
This appears to be a decent bipod for the price, but is has a fatal flaw. It will NOT properly fit any Picatinny rail that I have because the bottom of the slot is tapered too narrow. The side clamp tightens down and sort of holds the rail, but the rail is cocked at an angle and not really secure. I will attach photos if I can.My intended application was on a Sadlak M14 forend rail, and Mr. Sadlak makes quality parts. In fact I mic'd this rail and it's width is .831", which within the 1913 Picatinny spec of .830"-.835".EDIT July 21: Waheed of 'Amazon Communities' team informs me that as of July 15 customer images are not allowed and that as of August 31 all customer images will be deleted. That's a shame as the photos I took illustrate clearly what I said above. I wonder what they're trying to hide?EDIT July 22: I sent the photos to Caldwell, they responded right away, said I must have a defective one, and they are sending me a new bipod. Raised to 2 stars for great customer service. I'll edit again when I get the new one and see if it's clamp fits better.EDIT July 25: Received replacement today from Caldwell customer service, no charge by the way. Outstanding customer service! Unfortunately the new bipod still does not fit properly on any of the many Picatinny rails that I have. The rails will not 'drop in' and sit level in the Caldwell clamp, resulting in the bipod being cocked 10-15 degrees in the 'roll' or 'cant' axis. The clamp does capture the rail and some might be satisfied with this sub-par fit, but I want it to fit correctly. I also re-tried the rail I intended to put this on with a number of lights, sling adapters, and scope rings, and it is OK and not the problem. Two stars for excellent customer service, but a defective design.EDIT October 14: I was able to post a user picture. Amazon must have reversed their policy. The rail will not drop in even with the clamp entirely removed. The Sadlak rail was mic'd and meets all dimensional specs, and many other clamps fit fine. If this half-a33ed fit is OK with you, as it apparently is to some, then go ahead and purchase.EDIT October 17: Amazon deleted my customer image so I re-posted it. Apparently they can't handle the truth. This is beginning to irritate me. Reviewer Jaredin Pon says his bipod fits but did not dispute my photo, and promised to post his own. I guess he is lucky because the two bipods I got did not fit.

Stiff legs
It looks great, but the legs are really stiff to deploy. I thought I was going to snap them off. I saw a lot of reviews where the legs snapped off. Possibly because of the stiff deployment

Good quality, light bipod.
Good quality. Light and clamps on well to the rail using a straightforward thumb screw. Legs adjust well for the situations it’s used for.

This one seems fine and attaches very easily and seems quite solid
This is my second one, the first arrived with one of the legs detached, bipod appeared to have been used, broken and returned. This one seems fine and attaches very easily and seems quite solid.
