Second time I purchased this opener it was very hard to make it work unlike the first one I purchased about 5 yrs. ago anyway it just got worse so obvious not happy at alli everyone and a while I try it and nope just doesn't want to hold the item and skips the cut to much

I have had it a few months now and i am happy i have not had any problems. It is still working well. It still is easy to use. Its still has a sharp blade. It still has a nice grip. The fact that its compact and quaint is the reason i bought it not to mention the price. I definietely give it 5 stars.

It is more complete and functional than it appears in the photos, good quality material for what you could expect from its price, but this unbeatable against cans of all types and sizes, I do not realize that I had bottle uncoverer included (good for weekends of relaxation with beer, if you need it) and a part to sharpen knives in the back, incredibly everything works perfectly, my mother-in-law tells me that knives no longer cry trying to cut a Chicken, or an onion, brought them back to life, although it is not magically, to sharpen knives with this you must take your time! Or you could hurt yourself, "like everything in this life."

This is definitely a very basic can opener, and unfortunately, it shows in the performance. It works okay for smaller cans, like soup cans, but anything larger seems to be a struggle. It often has trouble latching onto the can properly, and there have been multiple times where it gets stuck mid-use, which is frustrating. You end up having to reposition it or try again several times just to get through one can. Overall, it might be fine for light, occasional use with small cans, but if you regularly open larger cans, this probably isn’t the best choice.

This was amazing just plug it in and get the can near the blade and push down on the can sometimes you might push down a little harder and the lid of the can gets held up by the magnet so be careful if your can has liquid but overall amazing product

Works great for the price. Super easy to use — just press down and it does the job. I like the magnetic lid holder, makes it less messy. Not the most powerful out there, but for everyday cans it’s perfectly fine. Good value overall.

This can opener works just as good as the higher priced name brand products, it opens all the cans that they can as well and the convenient knife sharpener on the back is very handy. There’s nothing like trying to cut up some food and have to use a dull knife just slide it through the sharpener on the back a couple times rinse it off and you’re ready to go.

Works well but Base has no anti skid grip. It slips on the counter easily. What kitchen counter top gadget has no anti slip base?? This is proof Amazon Essentials are essentially low grade products.

🎈The can opener arrived ten minutes ago, just before 1pm on the day promised. I've already given it 5 stars because I didn't see a 'question mark' option. The item came out of the box easily -I sliced the tape on the bottom flaps- and encountered the same problem others reported when I tried to remove the cord from its storage compartment at the rear. It fought me. I pulled hard but didn't want to do any damage. The difficulty was posed by the twist-tie holding the cord together in a small space. I snipped the twist-tie with scissors and the entire cord came out easily. I immediately opened 2 cans of tuna and 1 can of sliced potatoes. The device worked smoothly. Like a kid at Christmas, I wanted to open lots and lots and lottsa cans but couldn't justify it. So I'll have to wait until I hit the supermarket. For ages I've been relegated to buying cans with pull-tops or their own key key {like tins of corned beef}. 🎈If the opener poses any kind of problem in the future, I'll post it here. If it doesn't perform, I'll post that too. But so far so good. 🎈Separate from the purchase itself, it later occurred to me that I could have saved the $7.43 shipping fee and bought a slightly higher-end model with free shipping for just a little more money. I'm not very savvy and tell myself I gotta remember that for next time. But I probably won't ...😜😍😁

Excellent! I just wish it didn't have the lip for sitting the can on. As it is you can only open cans which fit in between the lip and the cutting blade. I open quite a few larger cans, for which this can opener is useless. Sad...
