It really works, and my hair is resistant!
I wanted to share my experience for anyone who was as undecided as I was when I was searching for color glosses and color conditioners. I did a lot of looking at products and reviews and ended up choosing to to try: this product and Moroccanoil color conditioner. This was the winner hands down. Even though it says it does not cover gray, I was delighted to find that ti does actually sort of partly stain my very stubborn wiry gray so that it looks a little bit more like highlights. It darkened my very faded light brown hair (that had a little too much red) in a nice rich way. Just a deepening and enriching. But the best part that I really want to get across is how shiny and glossy this product makes your hair. Almost nothing that promises shine and gloss actually works on my hair. I have very fine, very dry, NOT shiny hair—alas. It always looks a bit fuzzy and the only thing that really usually gives it shine is LOTS of oil. I was amazed to find that this product actually did give my hair a little bit of sheen and a really nice soft shiny glossy feeling. I actually kept running my fingers through my hair. And it lasted a really long time (I don’t shampoo every day because my hair is so dry, and after a week it still had that slightly thicker, glossy feeling! I am a believer in this product. And I am so picky about hair products.I don’t love the smell, but I’m quite fragrance sensitive and it didn’t knock me over or make me feel sick so that was a plus. The smell faded after a day or so. Another bonus as it does not stain your hands even though it warns you that it might. (I used the medium brown). The Moroccan oil conditioner was a darker brown and it did stain my hands, it did darken my hair but it did not even touch the gray. Moreover, I was disappointed that it did not give my hair that shiny glossy smooth feeling at all. I’m glad I just bought a sample pack of that one. DPhue is not cheap but for the size of the bottle and how much I get out of it when you consider that one salon color or gloss is upwards of $80 or more, plus travel time, this is going to be my go-to product between colorings. And I think it will extend my time between coloring. I have a lot of gray at the part right now but I don’t even feel in a rush to get color because I have this product. Big thumbs up on this one!

Drying and doesn’t deposit color nicely
I purchased this to add more neutral brown depth to my hair that was recently colored a neutral dark blonde which was covering grown out highlights. I followed directions exactly, leaving the treatment on for 20 minutes on damp freshly washed hair. It felt great putting it on, but after I rinsed and air dried my hair, it looked like no pigment had been deposited but it added an orange hue to my hair- the opposite of what I wanted! Not only that but my healthy hair was dry and my scalp developed itchy scabs the next day. I don’t know what caused so much damage. I cannot recommend this product and will be returning.

Good
I like this item. I have dark brown hair with some highlights put in that were just a little too light for my hair color. So I used this to darken them up a bit and it worked great. Its not permanent, so you do have to reaply every couple weeks but its a simple wash in and let it sit, wash out. I probably let it sit 10-15min. No issues with skin changing colors.

I've tried FIVE different shades and here are the results
For starters, I have naturally medium brown hair, but have had subtle highlights for many years. I was due to go in for my 8-week touch-up right when everything shut down because of democra...er, I mean "covid." Since we were told the shutdown would only be a couple of weeks, I figured no big deal, I could wait. Then it kept getting extended and eventually turned into 4 months. My highlights grew out to the point that I had an "ombre" look, which wasn't bad, just not for me. I didn't want to attempt my own highlights, nor did I want a solid color (fake looking) or anything permanent - just something to tone down the highlights and blend them with my natural hair color. First, I tried the MEDIUM BROWN, and it definitely covered my highlights, but was too dark (like a dark walnut color) and imparted a reddish hue to the highlights. After a few weeks of letting the color fade and gradually wash out, I tried LIGHT BROWN, which I liked a lot, but the highlights were still reddish. After another few weeks, I tried the dark blond, to tone down the highlights but not really affect my natural color. It was definitely more subtle, but the highlights were still "pinkish." Then, I tried the LIGHT BLONDE, which virtually did nothing but impart shine, as the color itself is almost clear. This past weekend, I tried the MEDIUM BLONDE, but mixed it with the DARK BLONDE 50/50, and very happy with the results. I always applied it after washing my hair (this removes any hair product or dirt) and then applied the gloss to damp hair (the hair shaft open when it's wet, so the color absorbs better), and left it on for 20 minutes. I do have a handful of gray hairs that appeared in the past 6 months or so, and these were much less noticeable even though the product isn't meant to cover gray.Overall, I don't think this product is suited for anyone with highlights, as it seems to impart a reddish/pinkish hue regardless of the color used. If your hair is naturally dark or one-color without highlights, I think you'll be very pleased with the results. Since it's a semi-permanent color, it does slowly fade away with time and washing (or a haircut, if it's just the ends that you're not happy with). After each use, my hair has been very full, glossy and silky, and looks healthier than it did before applying the gloss, so I will likely keep using the medium and dark blonde 50/50 combo every couple of weeks until my highlights have completely grown out or have been cut off (since I have a chin-length bob, this won't take that long!).

Subtle hair color, effective gloss, deep moisturizer and non-damaging product.
Let me start with some background about my hair to put my experience with the dpHUE hair color in perspective. I have naturally medium brown hair. To say that my hair is thin and fine is an understatement. It is spiderweb fine! I went blonde about a decade ago, which substantially damaged my hair. I have been dying it medium brown for the past couple of years. I have lots of grays. I had experienced significant stress and hormones related hair loss in the past several years. I am pretty paranoid about trying new hair colors as I'm always afraid of the damage and the potential trigger for another hair shed.I had this dpHUE hair color/gloss in my Amazon cart for a couple of months. I just could not get myself to try it as I have not colored my hair at home for over 20 years. But the salon trips are expensive, more frequent because of all my grays and cause me anxiety every single time. So I talked my coworker into trying this product as she is very adventurous with her hair and will try pretty much anything. She reported back that the product left her hair feeling silky and shiny but didn't do much for her color as her hair is naturally dark brown/almost black.I was encouraged about the fact that the product was not damaging and decided to try it. I was between the cool medium brown and light brown. I decided to go a little lighter at first and went with the light brown.First of all, this product is very easy to apply and rinse off. It leaves a little bit of tint on your hands, which is gone after a couple of washes. Next time, I'll just wear gloves.I was extremely nervous the first time so I left it on for only 10 minutes. I applied it on damp hair as instructed. I combed it with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was evenly spread. I noticed maybe a tiny change in color but honestly not much. It left my hair shiny and silky smooth though. And most of all, no itching, shedding or damage.I went to the reviews to learn that some have used it on dry hair and left it on longer for deeper color and gray coverage. I wasn't sure how soon I can reapply but decided to just do it the very next day. I applied it to dry hair. I do have to say that it was harder to smooth it over my hair and it was a bit messier. I left it on for 15 minutes. Again, no damage and silky smooth hair. I saw a noticeable change in color and at least 80% of my grays got covered.I am going to switch to the cool medium brown. Even though I am very happy with how this product treated my hair, the color just does not look great on me. I prefer cooler tones and the light brown definitely pulls more bronze/red. It is a very pretty color, just not for me.Some of the reviews said the product is too expensive. For me, if I use it for at least 15 minutes to get the desired results, it is definitely worth the price with the estimated 8 to 12 applications. I highly recommend the dpHUE hair color/gloss. It is really a great product so don't wait months like me and just do it.

This is a beautiful gloss!
I love the effect this has on my dark blonde/light brown hair naturally curly hair. I leave it on for 30 mins and wallah, gorgeous toasted caramel dimensional color! I'm 47 and this sticks to the silver at my temples for about 3 washes, and lingers on the rest for 7-8 washdays with no noticeable change in my curl pattern besides having less frizz. I will say it does turn the silver peachy temporarily but it fades nicely.

Turns hair reddish orange!
My highlights were a little too blonde for my liking. I ordered this to make my hair a little darker. Rather than a pretty light brown, my hair turned out reddish orange. Steer clear of this product! I'm still trying to wash it out.

Not a fan
I tried this out after watching a tiktok. I have brown hair and thought it would be best to get the brown tinted one. I am just not a fan. The color is slightly off for me. I wash my hair every other day. If anything my hair is a little dry. After using this on the 2nd day, my hair now feels oily. I might try again, and leave on less time than the directions suggest. If i were to purchased this product all over again after knowing what i know now, i would have gotten the clear instead of colored.

Magic in a bottle!
This stuff is incredible!!! I have some white hair and this made them way less noticeable after only one use. I use the light brown and left it in for 20 ish minutes. My hair is shiny and has still stayed shiny and full looking even after like 5+ washes. Great thing is that it’s so easy to use. I put lotion on my hands before using it and my hands weren’t stained, it didn’t stain my tub or my towels which to me seems crazy given how great this stuff works.

waste of money
My natural color is dark blonde. I ordered light brown, but it had absolutely no effect

Was OK
I purchased the product due to the toner and the leave in conditioner aspect. The leave in was good, not great. The toner did not work at all which was disappointing. I have bleached hair and was hoping to tone the colour. Did not work for me despite instructions. Good for leave in but not so much for colour.

Pulls Red
My natural hair colour is dark blonde (no greys), dyed red. I use this to blend my roots and it works well for that. Definitely pulls red as it blends my darker roots to the red colour nicely. Works well and if I want more colour deposited, I put it on dry.

I'd buy again
First time using and I'd buy again. Bought to add a bit of 'something' to my hair since it's been years since I've had highlights or lowlights put in at the hairdresser's...thanks to covid lockdown. This was a nice little boost of shine and tone. Also, I have some greys coming in and they toned them down alot.
