This Sure Strike 12 oz. Double-Face Soft Hammer from Estwing is well suited for assembling furniture, setting dowels and handling wood projects that require non-marring blows. Review: Typical Eswing high quality and performance - I have used Eswing hammers and their small axe for more that 25 years, best joiners hammer you can but IMHO. I required a replacement soft headed hammer as i could not purchase replacement heads for my trusted mallet that has endured a reasonable amount of abuse. Saw this in my search and had a specific task to complete. Not disappointed, it is a quality tool, well made, ergonomic handle, good weight and replacement heads are universally available. Very impressive and if it lasts as long as my Eswing Survival Axe and Joiner's hammer I will be delighted. You get what you pay for and this is a quality hand tool.

**Q: Are the heads replaceable or permanently fixed?**
A: Just tried to unscrew both heads, no joy. Imagine answer to be no.

**Q: Do you know if you can buy replacement heads**
A: I have not needed to as yet. I would say it’s a quality item and the manufacturer is a top name. 
I cannot answer this , I have giggled and not been able to find the info.

I have used Eswing hammers and their small axe for more that 25 years, best joiners hammer you can but IMHO. I required a replacement soft headed hammer as i could not purchase replacement heads for my trusted mallet that has endured a reasonable amount of abuse. Saw this in my search and had a specific task to complete. Not disappointed, it is a quality tool, well made, ergonomic handle, good weight and replacement heads are universally available. Very impressive and if it lasts as long as my Eswing Survival Axe and Joiner's hammer I will be delighted. You get what you pay for and this is a quality hand tool.
